“Random” reminder Yagyu Munenori was a tyrant’s errand boy who killed peasants and wrote poems.
Tomoe Gozen, meanwhile, was a top ranking general second only to her husband in an era women were expected to never so much as pick up a weapon, and without even getting into the more exaggerated claims about her life we know she once decapitated SEVEN generals in one battle.
“Servant X wouldn’t want to date you” this, “Servant Y shouldn’t be shipped with Guda” that, or “Servant Z ship is bad because (alleged fact that isn’t actually fact, just head canon)” and “Shipping Servant A with your self insert is cringe because (x)”
I thought one of the main appeals of FGO was being the boss of the hottest male and female figures in myth and history, why wouldn’t you want to be self indulgent with it?
Far as I’m concerned, there shouldn’t be restrictions on this kind of thing. Go out there and ship yourself with whatever servant you like best! Mash, Achilles, Izo, Jalter, Sigurd, Tomoe, Mordred, whoever, go nuts! Chaldea is practically a playground for you to put them into whatever wholesome or horny situations you want!
question: who do you get along best (and worst) with of the Chaldea servants?
i would say the list of people i avoid is much longer than those i talk to. for awhile da vinci was the only person to talk to me.
tomoe is pretty cool. ever since we worked at miss beni’s inn, she invites me to play games. i checked out her story at the library recently, it was a surprising difference…
speaking of the librarian -
the library is somewhere to disappear whenever the chulainns or whoever start fighting.
as for worst… i just avoid anyone from russia. salieri doesn’t remember russia and i would rather he never.
ah, something else - the knights of the round table follow the chaldea master everywhere. emiya said that wasn’t like this at the old chaldea, like this is some new development. they are doing their job, i guess. servants are supposed to protect their masters instead of the other way around, right?
[Context: Ever since Camelot I’ve written over-the-top monologues when I beat certain boss fights based on how I beat them. Becsuse of the parallels the two have, I went out of my way to defeat Archer of Inferno using Jalter. With that said…]
I wanted to see them burn. I wanted to see them die. I wanted to see them fail…I wanted them gone, and for that reason I knew everything I wanted was possible. I knew I didn’t have a chance, but I knew it was possible. That fleeting dream was always just out of reach, but it was a dream I knew might one day be reality!
…It’s an absolute fucking joke that something like you even thinks they can get in their way. You think you can do what I couldn’t? A walking corpse, who can’t even remember the dream they were trying to reach? You think you could possibly still know what it really means to lose everything? You think you have any goddamned idea what it really means to live for that despair?! DON’T MAKE ME FUCKIN’ LAUGH!
You said it yourself: You’re nothing but firewood. Lifeless, disposable, fresh off the chopping block, nothing but a reminder of what was! You don’t know the clutch of hate, you don’t know the sight of despair, and you don’t know the chill of having no one to know. Surrounded by humanity, yet wholly removed from it.
…You who claim yourself entitled to suffering none could fathom…You who dare believe yourself beyond all in your fury…Gaze upon that which the Avenger endures, and realize: you were NEVER alone.
So come, and see just how dark the fires of Hatred truly burn! Gaze upon the Inferno you claim, and realize your ignorance as you glimpse the abyss it enshrouds!
THAT ALL CONSUMING RAGE!
THAT ETERNAL SCORN!
THAT UNDYING DESPAIR!
THE HUMANITY BY WHICH THEY ARE BORNE!
You call these flames…?
…You call this Hate…?!
You’re nothing but a husk, a husk puppeted by grudges and held together by a mockery of damnation, fated for nothing beyond the annihilation you were molded from. Hear me, and cease thine cries! Hear me, and heed my wrath! Hear me, and Learn. Your. Place.
For THIS is the howl of a soul filled with Hatred:
