Yoga? How does a FM & CFS survive??
Well… Lots of 1% ers….. This is a term I learnt from a fishing Guru by the name of Winga. Essentially, the goal is a big fish, and the path is lots of little decisions at 1% of total decisions and preparations to make sure your ready at 100% when the big fish comes. So for me to do Yoga is not just a whim… it’s lots of 1%ers. One of them is being ready for Allodynia: Skin sensitivity.

So after doing some lovely 1rm cleans and jerks where I got 42.5kg we did a pretty awful workout. On paper it looked fine but in practice, oh boy.
So 3 rounds for time
30 GHD sit ups, or med ball sit ups (I did 7kg med ball)
20m handstand walk, I can't do that yet so did 20 handstand shoulder taps, ughhh
And then 10 kb swings at 16kg
My shoulders and abs are screaming at me!!
Managed to do it all in 9:39.
Have been finding great comfort in this quote just recently. Mostly due to the physical abilities of my body since having #fibromyalgia It can be really difficult not to look back in anger at the person you used to be. Angry at why you took things for granted. Sad of leaving your former self behind. I used to be a really keen runner. In fact right before being diagnosed I had completed 6 running races the same year from 10k to marathon distance and everything in between. I loved it. I loved the feeling of relaxation after a seriously long run. I loved getting into bed, tired but happy with my efforts. I loved the energy it gave me and the way my body felt. But things are different now. It’s time for a new way of making my body feel good. So this week I’ve been working on building my fitness again with HIIT. Short burst of physical activity to build my strength and make me fitter. This is swiftly followed by a session of yoga and then daily morning mindfulness. I’ve managed it three days in a row now and already feel so much better about myself. I feel@proud that despite the pain I am able to actually do something to improve my physical health. So here’s to stopping with fighting the old and focusing of building the new. #quotestoliveby #quotes #quotesaboutlife #quoteoftheday #quotesgram #instagood #instalove #instaquote #mindfulness #mindful #mindfulliving #mindfulmovement #mindfullife #mindfulmoment #mindfulyogi #yogi #yoga #meditation #socrates #stopfightingtheold #startbuildingthenew #chronicillness #fibro #fibrowarrior #fibrofit #spoonie (at London King's Cross Station)
2018 plans..... new year, same me. No major plans, other than to be a little more careful with money and to write more things down so I don’t forget. Otherwise just carrying on with what I love and what makes me feel good. Exercising to feel good and not to lose weight. Eating to feel good and not to be a size 10. Mindfulness to make me feel good and not worry and shaming myself. Altogether, I’m just doing what I love and making myself feel good about myself! I’m in a bit of a flare at the ml@ent but doing my best not to think about it too much or blame myself. It’s just the way fibro works!!!! Can’t wait to see what 2018 brings! #newyearsameme #newyear #resolutions #feelgood #diary #plans #newyearresolution #blog #chronicillness #chronicpain #chronicspoonie #fibro #fibromyalgia #fibrowarrior #fibromyalgiaawareness #fibrofit #fibrofighter #health #healthy #happy #instagood #journey #mindfulness #mindful #positivity #bodypositivity #wellbeing
