Oh my gosh, THANK YOU!

My intention is always if I do something that's a pro hero fic, Monoma would be confident as hell in who he is, though still with that underlying anxiety that keeping a top spot gives you.

In school, I like to give him anxieties that can be pretty darn typical of being young. I mean, everyone can struggle with who they are at any age, but as a teenager wanting to be a future hero? You have to think of your image, and Monoma thinks about it A LOT!

I like to inject zestiness from him as a way to cover up his insecurities. It always felt that way to me when I watched him in MHA. A big personality can overwhelm others and keep them away from what you don't want them to question.

originally, Zagreus was gonna have a much bigger role on the "lingering touch" series, and I made a whole bunch of incorrect quotes including him and Reyna with the quartet.

Ahhhhh this is so great! I'm excited for your fun facts ✨as per usual, I'm asking about Harrington's Christmas 😁

1. I love Steve's nickname for Chrissy, any particular story why you went for Columbo for her / their dynamic?

2. “What the fuck, Harrington!”

The van swerved suddenly, and Chrissy looked over to find Eddie staring angrily into the rearview mirror as he pulled over to the side of the road.

“Your girlfriend is sitting right in front of you,” Eddie yelled, positively red in the face. “The fuck is wrong with you, man?”

Chrissy looked behind her to see Steve’s arms around Heather, who was nearly in his lap but scrambling away, a horrified expression on her face

I love the intensity of this scene, the way Eddie is immediately enraged at Steve's flippant flirty behavior and ready to make it known. When you started writing the fic, did you always know it was leading to this altercation between the two of them or was it something that just felt right once they rescued Heather? I need all the cute deets 😉

Ahhhhhhhh I love A Very Harrington Christmas too!!!!!!!! So pumped for these questions!

1. As for Columbo, I personally love that TV show (they manage to make a murder mystery interesting even though you already know who the killer is it's so cool). Timeline-wise, it was also relevant because it would've been on air during Chrissy's childhood. And, confession time, I spent many of my childhood days pretending to be a secret agent/detective, so I'm drawing a little bit from my own life, too 😉

2. That scene was SO INTENSE to write 😅 I was drained afterward.

Okay, so the very original "outline" for this fic was as follows (scribbled in horrific handwriting in a notebook):

As you can see, there wasn't much planning of anything at first 😭 it took me ages to figure out I wanted Steve to end up with Heather (I originally considered Barb, but it just didn't feel right). And I always knew there'd be a dramatic confrontation/reveal, but that scene kind of came up naturally once I knew Steve and Heather would be together. And I just wanted DRAMA because what kind of hallmark-esque story would it be without drama??

The pregnancy storyline for Freddie and LeeAnne in Time’s Always Leaving came to me while I was watching Juno (for the 10,000 time or so)

I also used the soundtrack as background music while I wrote several of Freddie and LeeAnne’s sections

Yesterday we talked about how important feedback is to content creators; surgery said VERY.

Now let's talk for just a moment about the absence of feedback. When you read a story, or appreciate art that someone put their time, energy and heart into and just let it be, well... it sucks.

It is so easy to think that one kudos or a comment or reblog won't matter but one thing, over 800 hits adds up. It doesn't seem quote as stark when comparing fifty hits and ten response but as one number goes up and the other stays the same, well... it is a definate hit to confidence.

I'm not a perfect reviewer by any means; I run late a lot and because of the way I read and lurk, a lot of the stories I have enjoyed over the years I haven't commented on but that is easy to rectify.

So here is my question; do you leave kudos and comments? Do you reblog? What would make you NOT do these things? I'm at a loss because, as an author, I know it is fucking SCARY putting things out there and when you are proud of something and it just seems to melt into the ether, well...

That, by the way, was a serious question. The only thing I can think of is a kind of guilt by association kind of thing having to do with content that others may judge you about. Any input would be super duper.

Do me a favor, Maybe? Give a story you have maybe been silently enjoying some feedback, help make someone's day a little brighter.

Also it's Friday, so, fun fact: in Long Is the Road, when Chrissy gets kicked out of her home, I originally had her walking to the Byers house afterward and staying with them. But I realized that, logistically, the Wheelers house is probably closer to the nice neighborhood Chrissy lives in, but I was like... Mike hates her. How awkward would that be??

And thus, Mike's redemption arc was born

oohh fun fact friday! nothing specific persay, but any fun tidbits about Eddie and Chrissy Go to a Wedding? That was a fun AU :)

That one was super fun, but also super challenging to write! I can write enemies to lovers, but with Chrissy and Eddie it's just so difficult! They're not meant to be enemies 😭 although writing dangerous/unashamedly-flirtatious Eddie was sooo fun (and challenging in a different way because I have the flirting skills of a tepid cup of water)!

Also, I didn't decide to make Chrissy's mother the mayor until after I already posted the first two chapters! So I had to go back and make a minor edit to the second chapter and hope nobody noticed lol (I almost never edit chapters once they've been posted).
