For 2025 I posted an unheard of 10 fics and a bunch more snippets. So here's everything I wrote this past year.
We started with a bang with Won't You Come By and See Me (I'm a Love Letter Away) aka the post-breakup fixit fic, the first but not last 40k+ story.
I followed that up with not one but two more installments in the Sal Deluca Union Man Cinematic Universe.
April brought All the Boys Want to be My Girl aka the vegas fic in which two people get drunk vegas married but not the two you think.
But let us not forget this extremely self indulgent 911/Leverage crossover. Did Eliot and Tommy fuck in this universe at least once? Almost certainly!
That was followed by the werewolf roadtrip au, which I will turn into a full fic one day.
Next I took a week's break to write the post 8.17 fic See How the People Here Live Now.
And then that rolled right into a post 8.15 fic in the form of some more Sal Deluca Union Man Cinematic Universe.
Next came the first of what I've taken to calling the sphinx Tommy au, for @thegingerparty.
For the summer I did a bunch of prompts for different genres of cuddling, which are collected here in Hold Me Tight and then the Maia ones over in Don't Worry With Your Suitcase, Dear.
August brought the proof of concept for the book of love au, aka a second eddie pov has hit the fandom, which is next up on the 2026 docket.
August got a surprise drop in someday you'll have my head on a silver plate, a fic in which Tommy washes Buck's feet but in a blasphemous lapsed catholic way and not, alas, in a sexy way. Well, maybe a little sexy.
For @thegingerparty's birthday, she got another sphinx tommy ficlet.
That was followed by prompts for 5 facts about various aus:

There was this little seed of an idea of a startdust au where Tommy does what stars do.
And the year came to an end with Pretend All the Good Things are for You (Pretend All the Good Things are for Me Too) aka the time loop fic in which I sent Tommy to the torment nexus again and again and again. But don't worry, Buck is there to get him out.
In conclusion, I wrote over 175k for BuckTommy because I am an insane person who loves our little fandom. Here's to more words and more weird magical bullshit in 2026.

👨🌾🤰 A Thin Veneer by Analise
This post-colonization story is more of a casefic than anything else. Mulder and Scully are living in a small community of cabins in the middle of nowhere, just trying to survive. Mulder returns from a supply-gathering mission to a stranger at the camp and has to make sense of what he saw out in the world to keep his growing family safe.
It’s super fun to put the pieces together as more information is revealed! The stakes are high, the writing is compelling, and the OCs are interesting. Definitely recommend this one!

This short fic is undeniably weird (in a good way). It’s probably unlike any other fic you’ve ever read. It deals with one aspect of post-colonization life I’ve never considered and makes you ponder what makes a person a person. Anyway, give it a try!

This is an author I just discovered who deserves way more attention in the fandom! Their writing style is so unique, and their fics had me giggling like a schoolgirl.
In this one, Mulder goes to Kersh-mandated therapy, acts like Josh Lyman in Noel, and absolutely ravishes Scully. In that order.
The dialogue is punchy, the psychoanalysis is brutal and cutting, and the smut is unbelievably hot. Please, do yourself a favor and read this fic asap!

The Unnatural is in my top 3 favorite episodes, so this was right up my alley! The flirting and banter and teasing are soooo well-done. Plus, M&S make good use of Mulder’s desk at the end, so there’s something for everyone.

After being exposed to a mysterious drug, our favorite agents suddenly can’t keep their hands to themselves. It’s hot, but also has such a great understanding of their relationship. I especially loved Scully’s POV; it was such a refreshing take on her feelings for Mulder. (Also, the final chapter is probably my favorite version of Skinner I’ve ever read! Somebody buy that poor man a drink.)

This time-travel fic is short, but so interesting! Scully experiences missing time and must put together the pieces of what really happened. I don’t want to tell you any more than that — just go read it!

This fic features time travel like you’ve never seen it before. Caught between two times and gravely injured, Scully must figure out what’s happening before it’s too late. It’s positively riveting, and every detail that’s revealed makes you yearn more for the full picture!

(Clinical Detachment is the prequel — honestly, you can take it or leave it.)
In Journey, Scully must disappear to ensure her safety. I don’t want to tell you any more than that — it’s so fun to see the pieces come together and wrap your mind around the logistics of what happened.

Shane is turning thirty soon and isn't taking it well, but Sam is there for him despite repeatedly being pushed away. It's just sweet. Angst with a happy ending and my first time writing a ship that quickly became one of my favorites.
"Growth, or Something" - Jas & Shane - 1.1k Words
This came about just because I wondered who would take over the farm if the farmer didn't. It starts small, with Shane trying to do something nice for Jas to make up for forgetting her birthday. Then spirals into something bigger. Like growth, or something ;) (Also I'm really proud of the banner I made for this one it's very cute)
"The PB to My J" - Emily/Shane - 1k Words
A spiritual sequel to "We Don't Ever Talk About It" and me furthering my Shemily agenda hehehe. Starts off with them already secretly dating, but Emily broaches the idea of a couple's costume. Shane, as expected, balks at the idea. But it's cuuuute I love them sm ur honor
"Pies and New Beginnings" - Leah & Marnie & Shane - 1k Words
Okay tbh I hesitated to put this one in because this fic is more Leah centric but ☝️ when Shane is present he is just so very Shane, and I don't see much Shane/Leah or Shane & Leah content despite them being neighbors. It's just a little window into Leah first settling into Pelican town, and the moment it starts feeling more like home. Anyway feel free to skip this one I'm not the boss of you lol
"Grave Danger "- Sam/Shane - 780 Words
SHAM SHAM SHAM 🙌 We love to see it. Shane wants a little peace on Spirit's Eve. Of course Sam shows up and ruins it by going and getting himself hurt. I always imagine that Shane locks the fuck in when it comes to emergencies, since when it comes down to it, he is responsible.

This one is my baby. It basically covers the history of the ranch family, from Marnie's strained relationship with her sister (Shane's mother) to patching together her own little found family with Jas, Shane, and Marlon. One of my favorite Stardew fics that I poured my heart into. It's from Marnie's POV but Shane is a major character.

I adore this fic. This is my ultimate attempt to convince you of Shemily. It's tropey, it's cute, it's full of YEARNING. Basically they go from being best friends to falling out when Emily kisses Shane one drunk night. There's protective!Shane, there's fake dating, there's getting stuck in the saloon's back room, there's dancing, and smut for a cherry on top. If you are someone who swears by Shane/f farmer only I implore you to check this out and I really really hope you like it.

Basically a threesome but Sam and Shane don't do anything together. Really messy smut (begging you to check the tags before reading) where established Sam/F Reader bring Shane in to teach Sam how to give his girl anal.
"What Happens Behind Joja" - Sebastian/Shane - 2.5k Words
Dead dove! Shane is a sleezy pervert and bribes Seb with a pack of cigarettes. This is actually the first Shane smut I wrote and I whacked it up on my alt account because I was afraid the Shanimals would hunt me for it. I said in my authors note "Sorry Shane enjoyers, I don't think this one is for you" and got one of the best comments ever in response, "hi. Shane enjoyer here. LOVED THIS. he's such a sexy little gross freak thank u for doing him justice"

You voted on a roundup of some of my favorite TXF fics, so here it is! Prepare to watch me gush profusely about the phenomenal writers in this fandom.

Season 1:
starstruck by @thursdayinspace (General Audiences, 671 words): Set post-Pilot. The title says it all. This is quite possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever read.
Something Bigger Than Us by Mungo_of_Maundery (General Audiences, 721 words): A nice coda to Deep Throat after Scully rescues Mulder from the air base. Internal monologue is great.
humans in nature by @theswisscheeserag (General Audiences, 2,733 words): Mulder and Scully’s conversations post The Jersey Devil. Philosophy mixed with fluff and some laugh-out-loud humor. Perfectly captures the vibe of early MSR.
Still Feeling My Father Ascend by @cecilysass (Teen and Up, 13,073 words): Mulder and Scully share some tender moments post Beyond the Sea. Both of them have a lot of healing to do, for different reasons. Some of my favorite MSR introspection can be found in this fic, and you can tell how much thought and care this author puts into the characterizations. There’s also several excellent funny moments - a true gem of a fic!
Egit Genius Loci by snow_and_rain (Teen and Up, 21,937 words): Case fic set right after Beyond the Sea. Featuring early-onset MSR, angst, mutual pining, and hurt/comfort. A little whimsical, a little eerie, a little sad.
Between Two Truths by @agent-troi (Teen and Up, 1,621 words): Missing scene from E.B.E after Scully’s speech to Mulder. An excellent internal monologue from Mulder’s POV followed by some top-tier MSR banter.
the progression (and regression) of first names by skuls (Teen and Up, 5,421 words): A series of vignettes exploring Scully and Mulder’s relationship as it evolves throughout Season 1. Pitch-perfect Scully characterization and several moments that really showcase her inner conflict fantastically, but also many wonderfully tender MSR scenes (keep an eye out for the coffee scene - my favorite!)
never learned to read your mind by @swinging-stars-from-satellites (General Audiences, 1,071 words): An alternate version of Season 1 where Scully leaves after Deep Throat. Profound, heartwarming, wistful and a bit sad, this takes an interesting concept and really tugs at your heartstrings.
Season 2:
distractions by @thursdayinspace (General Audiences, 1,181 words): Post-abduction. Mulder does his best to help. Absolutely heart-melting, sweet and tender and a little sad too.
The Safety of Guilt by the_status_clo (Teen and Up, 732 words): Mulder’s guilt post-abduction. Do you like to feel miserable? Do you like to slip into a pit of unwavering guilt and wallow in beautiful words? Read this!
Redial by @theswisscheeserag (Teen and Up, 7,423 words): A frequent reread of mine! Set during Mulder and Scully’s quarantine post-Firewalker and told through a series of phone calls. This fic has everything you could possibly want: introspection, angst, fluff, humor, friendship and romance all mixed into one…it’s just really good in 1000 different ways. Endlessly rereadable.
until it heals by @actual-changeling (Teen and Up, 2,351 words): A post-Irresistible fic that captures all of the poetry, panic, and drama that is Season 2 MSR. Incredibly tender with some stunning inner monologue moments. A perfect coda to my favorite episode.
Authority and Gravity by Xecotcovach (Teen and Up, 2,338 words): Another excellent fic where Scully (with Mulder’s help) tries to deal with some of her season 2 trauma. Their dynamic here is very tender and their banter is just the right amount of sassy and quippy. Set after Fresh Bones.
If You’re Sinking, I Will Jump Right Over by SammyLovesASOIAF (Teen and Up, 1,642 words): An alternate version of End Game where things go…badly-but then Mulder has to confront his emotions!An interesting alternative, angst with a happy ending. Lovely poetic language; I have some lines from this that I remember word-for-word.
Our Town by @leiascully (Teen and Up, 813 words): Scully’s thoughts during and after the climax of Our Town. Very in-character, appropriately intense, really conveys the fear and desperation intertwined with Season 2 MSR.
Season 3:
Light in Dark Places by @agent-troi (Teen and Up, 2,697 words): Set in Season 3 but it’s really about Irresistible and Scully’s insecurities in general. Peak hurt/comfort, this one makes your heart hurt in the best possible way, and then it feels like a warm hug with the resolution.
Got You(r) Back by @shearmouth (Teen and Up, 4,933 words): This is THE injury fic for me. Set post-731. The hurt/comfort levels in here are unmatched. Scully’s internal monologue is perfect. Mulder is an actual puppy and Scully takes care of him and it makes my heart melt in all of the right ways.
stay close, listen by @actual-changeling (Teen and Up, 2,667 words): Post Pusher. Very angsty, but in the best possible way and with an extremely satisfying resolution. This fic definitely wins best-written: it’s essentially poetry, and its uses of metaphor and literary references are stunning. I can’t recommend this enough.
find me defenseless by @impulsive-astrophile (Mature, 7,421 words): Case fic! Do you like Mulder torture? Do you like badass Scully? If so, you will love this fic because it has both in spades (plus-spoilers-a wonderful ending to make up for the pain). Whenever I’m fed up with the show’s kidnapping ratio, I read this: it’s probably my most frequent reread. I will say that it is more violent than anything I’ve written, so be aware.
Unconfirmed timing but spoiler-free:
unravelling by @actual-changeling (General Audiences, 2,208 words): Scully wakes up to a familiar voice theorizing on her television. What follows is as sweet and humorous as it is charged and just a little tragic.
Shakespirited by orphan_account (Teen and Up, 13,670 words): A fic that I’m pretty sure was written specifically for me. Mulder and Scully go undercover in a Shakespeare troupe plagued by strange murders. If you like TXF and are a Shakespeare nerd, you will love this. Definition of a good time (but there’s some angst too-how could there not be?) I think there are some minor spoilers in here, but nothing to really tell you anything as long as you’ve seen up to Anasazi.
Sometimes You Need to Have Fun by @baronessblixen (Teen and Up, 1,192 words): Fluff written by the queen of fluff herself! Mulder and Scully go ice skating. It’s as adorable and sappy as it sounds.
Stupid Cupid by @mulderwearingglasses (General Audiences, 5,325 words): A Valentine’s Day fic! This features jealous Scully (a delight) as well as some excellent humor and fluff. Overall just a lovely time. There may be some minor spoilers in here, but nothing that told me anything.
