i SWEAR booktok is making girls feel like theyre unloveable because theyre “15-22 and dont have a romance like __” like… GUYS. We have our WHOLEEEE lives to find a man. And it sucks that its being pushed that having a boyfriend/“soulmate” at that age is the norm when, aside from casual dating, majority of people DONT find the love of their lives at such a young age. How many people do you know are high school sweethearts? Its uncommon for a reason

Every girl out there deserves a special love but its not always going to come at a young age and thats okay. But reading books where the norm is meeting the love of your life as a teenager has just started pushing this ideology that if a girl doesnt have a boyfriend at that age it must be something wrong with her and fuels insecurity that is already so prominent in those ages

Im not saying not to read booktok romances!! Lord knows i do. But just remember that, despite it being a trend in these books, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you if you dont get a love like annabeth and percy at the ripe age of 17. Just pursue what YOU want to do first, and love will come later 💞

(A/N) I use this to help me write Cid Raines in my fan fiction. He is likely in my top three characters in the game. ASKING YOU OUT ~ This guy is very much unaware of his emotions. ~ Will finally realize it after years of knowing you. ~ Gods, someone help him confess. He really needs the help. ~ His assistant or secretary will see it and after a while get fed up of watching you two dance around each other.     - I kid you not, they dragged Cid into his office and will help him find the most romantic way to ask you out that shows how much he cares about you.     - If you have a particular favorite book he, with help, will get a special edition signed copy of it with a note inside asking you out.     - Cid notes to give a good bonus to the assistant or secretary that year. IN THE RELATIONSHIP ~ He may feel distant and cold at times but his work is often on his mind and he really does love you. ~ He tries to keep it a secret but he loves to cuddle.     - Helps relieve his stress, medically true fact by the way, and likes being close to you due to not always seeing you everyday.     - He feels really bad for being gone a lot of the time. ~ Your relationship is secret among close friends until a certain someone lets the cat out of the bag.     - *COUGH*Snow*COUGH*    - Lightning punches him in the face for letting it slip. ~ He is often gone because of his work but leaves notes every time.     ~ He phones you everyday asking you how you were, what happened, and if Snow got abused by Lightning again. ~ Dates mainly take place at one of your places.     - Dinner dates are a particular favorite of his.           ~ Loves cooking with you even if it sometimes ends in disaster.                  - No one speaks of the casserole incident.           ~ He is surprisingly not bad in the kitchen. ~ Be ready to hear a lot of rants about his work.     - He tries to keep work away from home but it is just annoying with all the mistakes people make. Don't get me started on the new guy who thinks they know everything. ~ He has a little ritual before falling asleep.     - He will really make an effort to talk about your day.     - Next, he will spend sometime reading with you.           ~ He really doesn't care what the book is. He just wants to spend time with you.     - As the two of you fall asleep, he will wrap his pinkie around yours as he whispers promises to you. ~ Part of him has to be touching you as he falls asleep.     - Foot, hand, back, or head its doesn't matter. As long as he knows you're there he is as happy as a clam.
