Finial Wrap
Hard at work, fumbling my way through repeated k3, p1tbl along the second edge of my Finial Wrap. I even put on pants. 😆

Finial Wrap
Hard at work, fumbling my way through repeated k3, p1tbl along the second edge of my Finial Wrap. I even put on pants. 😆
Finial Wrap
Bound off the last stitch of my Finial Wrap yesterday! Now it’s a plump roll of unblocked knitting. Much to do before I publish the pattern, but I develop and test instructions and charts as I go.
Finial Wrap
Light wasn’t great for photos today, but my Finial Wrap is coming along nicely. I’m working on the other part of designing—calculating specifications, finalizing charts, and writing instructions. It’s a different kind of fun for this ol’ tech writer. I’d like to publish this month. Fingers crossed!
Finial Wrap
My Finial Wrap’s edges are the last part to knit. Each side is 430 stitches, so no one will be surprised that I chose a simple pattern stitch! I also use it in the finials, so the edges help unite the overall design.
Fidalgo Artisan Yarn & Clothing
Took an impromptu trip to Anacortes today for Fidalgo Artisan Yarn’s 9th anniversary sale. 🥳 Showed off my Synaptic Wrap (knit in Brilliant Blue of their Rosario Sport), acquired yarn, bought books instead of lunch, and scampered back to San Juan Island (running only half an hour late)
Finial Wrap
Oh my YES! These colors look amazing together, and my finials look wonderful in the Bright Aqua colorway of Seda Sock from Grinning Gargoyle. Not quite ready to show that part yet. 😋
Finial Wrap
After working out the details of the “finials” (ends) for my lace wrap, I’m ready to add them to my design sample. The 50% silk in Grinning Gargoyle’s Seda Sock will be stunning with Fidalgo Artisan Yarns’ Fidalgo Fingering.
Late night knitting - a few repeats left in this section before moving into the last section!
