I drew so many skates recently cause I got into studying the autonomy of figure skates. So there were a bunch of boots from different brands to rigidness and blades. So so so many blades. But it was fun, honestly. I wondered how I never got into learning the autonomy of a skate until so late into my career HAHAHAAA

Though, I still prefer traditional art and still (after so long) have not gotten used to the lack of scratchy feeling from pencil to paper 🫠

Anyone else’s figure skating coach yell at you, tell you “you mess everything up” “are you even listening to me?” “Suck it up” “you’re ruining this for everyone” etc. recently because of an ice show you’re in that she’s running. Because I am. And it really really fuckin hurts. She’s someone I massively look up to, and being told I essentially have no future in this sport hurts like a mother fucker. Especially from her.

I know running the show is stressful as hell but I feel like she shouldn’t be shouting at a 14 year old over boy over literally just falling on a sit to donut spin combination with dull skates. Like when my skating partner, Cas, messes up she tells her “You just made a simple mistake, don’t worry!” But when I do suddenly I’m a liability in need of a good hearty lecture. Whether it’s alone, with my skating partner, or in front of the entire cast for the show. Fuck man.
