Chapter 33:
“I need you to be sure about this, Casey. I don’t want you to look back and have any regrets.”
“We can never fully predict whether we will, or will not, have regrets, now, can we? But I assure you, I love you, and I'm confident.”

“You’re not listening to me! You do not get to go near him! Do you understand me? You will have to go through me and, trust me, you have no idea what a bitch I can be when I’m protecting someone I love!”

“The problem is, you were always in control. I never had a say, but today, that changes. I am determining that is goodbye, and it is not revocable, it’s forever.”
Chapter 34:
“You’ve given me enough memories to last a lifetime.”

“Would you stop! Of course, I don’t hate you! I never could.”
“I don’t know why. I’d hate me if I were you. In fact, I kind of hate myself right now.”
“That’s because you don’t see what I see when I look at you, and it’s high time that changes.”

“I do believe that some things are destined to happen, that there are people who are meant to come into our lives. But I also believe that we still have some control. It's our destiny. We get to write the next chapters, not some invisible force. Yes, some people are meant to come into our lives and it would probably be impossible to prevent them from doing so. And the funny thing is, we won't even know why until it's over."
Chapter 35:
“Well, he’s not really taking my calls.”
“Oh, stop. I don’t believe that for a moment.”
“Here,” she said tossing her phone across the table, “why don’t you take a look for yourself.”
