Hayashi Kaede -  MNT48 Second Generation Audition

Singing to :  Country Girls - I’m sorry for being so adorable Dancing to : SNSD - Genie (Japanese version)

Kaede felt the anxiety running in her body from head to toe.  As soon as they called Aimi’s name, she felt a tight knot tying her belly.   She barely ate anything the whole day, knowing she would head right after school for the auditions.  And at that moment, she felt a tiny bit jealous of Aimi’s long legs.  She thought that if only she were to be a bit taller, she might have more confidence.  Even though she worked hard to prepare her audition, she didn’t feel so confident about her talent.  She wasn’t bad at singing, better at dancing.  But... she knew that her biggest chance to get in was her cute features and her energetic character traits.  She felt she didn’t have enough talent to rely only on that.  Fortunately, Aimi was right there next to her.  Well, now inside giving it all her best.  However, Kaede was even too nervous to even be able to cheer for her best friend.  She felt bad about it, but the only thing she could think about was : please, let me perform in a decent manner.  Please, I beg of you, let me get through the audition.  She feared that Aimi and Jina would be recruited but not her.  She feared she would be left behind, being the... no good of the group, even if Jun didn’t enjoy his fame.  She was afraid to become the only unknown one and be casted aside by her own friends would be too busy to spend time with her.  She already kind of felt that way towards her two brothers.  She missed them.  What would she do without her friends?  She needed to succeed.

Sooner than later, Aimi got outside, a smile on her.  Kaede couldn’t even feel happy for her friend.  She knew her name would be called.  She stood up, held tightly Aimi’s hand for a few seconds and walked to the door.  She inhaled deeply and went in.  Don’t let them seem how nervous I am.  Just show them my bubbly character.  She smiled.  She could do it.  She bowed in a cute clumsy manner before introducing herself.

“I’m Hayashi Kaede, 16 years old.  I’m happy to be here today, please take care of me! »

Joyful.  She made herself sound as joyful as possible.  She needed to get points on that.  And she would make it clear while singing.  She chose a rather cute song because that was what suited her personality best.  She carefully chose.  She needed something that would match her soft high pitched voice.  She couldn’t sing anything.  She had potential, but not talent.  She pulled it alright.  She thought she should have practiced more.  She was off pitch maybe once or twice.  She felt anger against herself for making those stupid mistake.  However, she knew she had to fear nothing when it would come to dance.

She first learned that dance when she was extremely young.  She begged Miaka days for her to teach her how to do it, so it had been years she first learnt it, therefore she felt quite confident about this.  Her body moved to the song by itself.  Sometimes, she changed the movement into something a bit more difficult without even thinking about.  Kaede wasn’t only a pretty face.  She was a great dancer too.  She wouldn’t say that of herself, but her body just moved naturally.  She couldn’t stop her grin to grow wider and wider.  She loved dancing.

Before she even knew it, it was over and she was out, right in front of Aimi.  She jumped at her friend and hugged her tightly before spinning around with her.

“We did it!  We did it!”  She couldn’t stop laughing.  Maybe she wasn’t the best in singing, but she gave her everything and she hoped it would give the results.

Why do you want to be part of MNT48? : Because I like the group, I like that’s only the second generation so that we have to work harder to make ourselves a name.

Do you have a special talent? : I’m pretty good at learning other languages.  I already speak fluently Korean and I have good grades in my Chinese classes.

By participating in this audition, what is your final goal? : I hope grow as better person being a MNT48 member.  When I’m grown up enough, I wish to pursue a modelling career.

I've redone my Mitchers headcanon page and my Mitchers universe overview. I'm prepared for Mitchers Monday in a few hours (well, 5 and a half hours are a few, aren't they? ;) )

Still have to think about a title for my post season 3 story but nothing really gets to me. Gnah.
