So "How Could I Ever Know" came on the Broadway station today and I had to keep myself from crying in front of my father.
This was at like 6:30
It's 8:30 and I've been singing all the songs for the past two hours and I am in tears and especially How Could I Ever Know because everyone is leaving for college soon and I will always have emotions about this show that I can't quite define and ughhh

Dunno if it’s helpful but I appreciate the religious-themed music I love for its passion/soul, even though I don’t agree w/the theology
That is a lot of why I like Godspell. The music is just fucking excellent. (I mean Hunter motherfucking Parrish) And I actually really like the whole "human beings can get a lot of stuff done" theme, and they actually openly mocked the GOP candidate's misuse of religion in the show. I'm just not fond of the Jesus allegory- although the whole concept of a super charismatic person coming into a group of peoples' lives with a lot of new ideas and then leaving really abruptly, is super fascinating to me. I just wish it didn't have the religious connotation.
