Finished! Basically. These will never be fully done as I was a little premature on some of the inking/lining, and thus drew into the lens flare that exists in a backlit shot. Meh. I'd have to use acrylics or something that will not blend nicely without me spending hours on it, or do it digitally, which I don't have much experience with. So, done!
I didn't get a chance to finish this last night and post it this morning, so I finished it today and am posting it tonight 😝 for both TigerTuesday and Humpday as we're almost there. This is as complete as it's going to get - which is too bad as I was thinking of making prints of it - but I did not realize the pen i was using is in fact water soluble, meaning that going over it with watercolors is going to make it run. 😭
I made the mistake of trying to add color along the neck because I wasn't liking the floating head look. And I decided not to finish the mane on the right because I liked the color there and a lot of it would be covered. So sue me.
Happy Valentine's Day! Ammit will gladly accept your heart. I know Mythology March is next month, but she's too perfect for this holiday. Am a little scared to try putting that heart in her throat, particularly as it wouldn't be as fitting for this one since I did not layer the two images. Thoughts?
Double-post! (To make up for my lack of MaleModelMonday posts lately.) Inspired by/part of my goal for FinishedFebruary to finalize some old projects. This started out with me wanting to go back and do some "traditional" pencil blending. But as you can see, my hands and style decided that wasn't happening. Again, from that amazing shoot between Joan Crisol and Jonathan Guijarro.

(And again, I used some white watercolor and it's put a chalky sheen over certain parts, and no matter how many time I go over it with ink again, it stays chalky.)
