Fishtober Day 8 - Firefish
Check out the creator! ^ [@/fishiscrazy]
Firefish are a genus of dartfish. The first picture I used is of a Fire Goby, which are native to the Indo-Pacific oceans in coral reefs. Their name comes from their orange-red body, though other fish from the same genus can be other colours!!
Their brighter relatives, the Elegant Firefish have bright red and purple fins. They live in the West Indo-Pacific and eat zooplankton. Plus they hide in holes when threatened. They don't fight if they have enough room so they're good aquarium pets! Plusss they're very disease resistant.
Sorry I know the pictures are a little boring today but I don't have the energy to make a pretty collage - -""

now riddle me this... why is this fish called a goby, but the elegant firefish isn't despite being the same genus
My de-fusion entry for @weirdandwackypokefusions‘ 2k follower art competition! Clicking the image will probably bring better quality.
I unfused Quilonne!
On the left, we have Ursplash (Er-splash).
It’s name is a portmanteau of ursa (latin for bear) and splash. It is known as the bubble bear Pokeman. Ursplash can be found on beaches all around the world playing with their bubbles like volleyballs. They are friendly towards humans, and will often invite them to play a game similar to volley ball.
On the right, we have Exploby (Ex-ploh-be).
Known as the explosion pokemon, its name is a portmanteau of explode and goby (it is designed after the fire goby). Exploby make their home in active volcanoes, swimming in the molten core. They have a white hot internal temperature, making them impossible to eat unless they’ve had days to cool.
Makes me miss Beefsquatch.
Day 19: Fire Goby.
I changed what I was going to do. I think this works better.
Fire Goby Mermaid
I guess that’s it for this year’s Mermay. It’s been fun 😊
