DA Origins Replay
I am replaying DA Origins and I am surprised at how different the feel of the game is compare to 2&3. Right from the beginning it starts of like some epic tale with Duncan's expo of "at the dawn of time....." and it gives you a short intro to introduce your place in the world before becoming a Warden. Also it is because of tumblr that I am going to romance zevran this time around. He is going to become a one Warden kind of man.
fireflypersona replied to your post “uglygirlbloggin replied to your post: OH dear, you know you’ve lived...”
I am not the only who made this mistake!!! I remember in class trying to figure out why a monk was carrying a house on his head before realizing I was in Japanese not Spanish.
It also doesn’t help that Japanese has loan words from Portuguese and those few ones are the same in Spanish so then I’m all WAIT WHAT LANGUAGE IS THIS NOW
Replaying Mass Effect
So I decided enough time has passed and I wanted to revisit all my favorite characters again. Definitely discovering my extreme love for Joker. His sense of humor is right up my alley.
I decided to take the plunge and write a short fic on a DA story idea that has been floating around my head for awhile. This is the first time I have decided to write something that other people will actually read. My first thoughts so far are How DO YOU PEOPLE DO THIS? I have the general idea on what I want to convey, but point of views and passive vs active narrative. Where to start the story. So many choices. And then there is the running argument in my head of everything I put down on paper is crap, but I do know this is my first time and of course there will be a learning curve. And just the back and forth of yes, no, yes, no. So yeah, just a renewed sense of appreciation for fic writers. Their bravery, creativity, and general word smithyness.
Instant Tea
Sometimes I wish that there was a way to just press a button and instantly have perfect temperature, perfectly steeped tea. But then again, there is something very relaxing about the tea making process too. Like on a stressful day and then you just take a break to make yourself a cup of tea.
Guilty by Omission
I was listen to the radio on my way to work when a subject came up that just made me so angry that I have not listened to that station since.
The morning radio was talking about a news piece of a man beating his wife with a pipe in a store parking lot. Luckily, some awesome gentlemen were around and subdued the man, made sure the wife was okay, and called the police. But then the question was asked among the dj’s would they have done the same or just walked on by.
One of the male DJ’s admitted that he would do nothing for fear of the man’s retribution fall on him. His reasoning being, what if the guy had a gun? I can only only hope that if this person is every put in this situation, that he would be moved to act in some way and ignore the words he had said before.
To me this only validates this horrible man’s actions against his wife. If nobody tried to stop him, then society is validating his actions by doing nothing. If there is no consequence for a bad actions many people will just continue the action and it will only escalate from there. If fear of physical violence stops you from actual confrontation, take the plate numbers, snap photos with your phone, call the police, get the store security. There is always something you can do.
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Macaroons
I am getting all sort of macaroon combinations on my dash for the past week. And now I want to make them. I have never made this particular dessert before, but have ingested them before. Now I must learn how to bake them.
The best macaroon I have every had was from a little shop in D.C. called Paul’s. They were about two inches wide chocolate and pistachio. To which nightblink can attest to as well.
