(The Batman Strikes! #21): Gods, Firefly and Freeze are kind of funny to me here. Their dynamic works on a platonic level, of course. But since I've now seen some posts and fanfics discussing them as a ship, I can't help but see subtext in most of their interactions here. These two really do have issues, as Batgirl notes. But they also have an did odd amount of chemistry, which I like.
It's a shame the tv show never showed Firefly and Mister Freeze together more than once. It's also really weird that this tie in comic used Rupert Thorne a lot, despite him never being a major villain on the tv show (only appearing briefly in the first episode). But the more I see of this show, the more I almost wish it could just get a revival. At the very least, I really wish I could see some of the designs for characters they never adapted. I think it'd be interesting to know how characters like the mad hatter or two-face or whoever could've looked in this shows universe.
