I got a crochet kit recently, I always wanted to learn how to either knit, crochet or sew. The crochet kit said for beginners but I had no idea what a single crochet, double crochet or chain stitch was so I looked up some tutorials online for practice. My mum gave me some wool to practice too

After practicing with the single, half double, double and triple crochets, I figured I was ready to try the kit but even with that terminology, this thing was impossible!! I was using trial and error just to figure out what it meant because some instructions just weren't clear enough. But now:

i’m not gonna say it taught me how to crochet but it taught me the names and kinds of stitches (so it basically taught me to crochet). i’ve basically never done anything other than a single crochet stitch in a circle before

I FINISHED MY FIRST BEE!!

Day 57 of 365

Another early start today, for work, so was very drained when I got home, so did end up dozing for a couple of hours.

Was really in the mood for journalling/scrapbooking, but annoyingly couldn’t find any glue, and I didn’t want to use tapes.

Wasn’t really in the mood for colouring, and didn’t know what to draw/paint, so pulled out my new Learn to Crochet book, well I say new, I’ve had it 14 months, and I did attempt something last year, but it was post-surgery, and I couldn’t get my head around the slip knot to start with, and now look what I’ve made! Not bad at all for a first attempt.

Chain Stitch, a little messy but I am very happy with it.

I have since found the glue... It was in my new storage/file organiser.

Of course.

Going to Nics soon, movie night and cuddles.

Done a little bit of reading, but there will be more, before bed if not sooner.

Journalling tomorrow perhaps.
