So BJU has not yet posted the Summer Orientation numbers for the Class of 2027. They usually do this in July -- at least by July 31, that is.

So when they had the Summer Orientation, they did post that they had 14 group leaders (since then, three leaders have been deleted. Don't know why.).

If those leaders tell us anything, it's that between 140 and 200 students attended the Summer Orientation. We know that because BJU usually assigns 10 first-years to each leader, but they've had as many as 14 last year.

If this is accurate, that number is down from last year -- it's down a lot. At best, it's down 30%; at worst, it's down 50%.

Last year 55% of the first-years attended the summer orientation. Eight years ago, 60% of the first-years attended the summer orientation.

Let's give them the best possible chances. If 60% of the first-years attended summer orientation and if that number was the higher option of 200, that means BJU will have 333 first-time students in the Class of 2027.

That's bad.

We might know more when the class picture is posted. If it's posted.

Draco appalled because "I became 'sorta friends' with Potter?!?! My child is best friends with Potter's kids?!?!?!"

Just a little piece of my brain that I will be leaving on the internet, forever.

Today I went to my University welcome day and this is what happens when I get bored of the reason I'm actually there (not so much bored as unable to hear what the people were actually saying). When in doubt: Watch the people, and so I present to you the:

 2015 first years welcome day fashion review...

I know I'm not really one to judge since I believe in free will and doing what ever you want in the name of fashion but guys this is almost a heat wave if it isn't officially one already and there be guys out here wearing beanies and girls in thigh high socks or boots. Most notable outfit in the guy’s section would have to go to the guy rocking a flashy maroon suit; I'm talking maroon bottoms (probably skinnies) and a velvety looking maroon jacket. Now I usually would say guys should never wear skinnies but I'm glad that guy did cause that outfit was something. Now for the girls section I would have to say "the lady in black" (#TheSoilReference) caught my eye. She was one of those setting herself up for heat stroke but at the same time putting herself at risk of being charged with indecent exposure. The wintery thick black and white jersey and full stockings that made my own legs itch in the heat were a huge contrast to the black bra and shorts she paired them with. Now honey just answer me this: if you are cold enough to wear such a thick jersey, why are you just wearing a bra and not a full shirt?? Or at least an actual crop top.
