I struggled with what I wanted to do to keep the theme, I thought making the fin/legs the bottom of the merboy wouldn’t be true to the squid, which is why I made him “upside down” as the real squid is. Just imagine this kiddo just backwards zooming in the ocean. I like to think of him as a trickster.
