Best Walking Treadmills that Will Pave the Way to a Healthier Well-Being
In order to get our optimal health, we need to move and exercising is a way of getting it. It just so happens that people rarely exercise if they don’t normally enjoy doing it and just like a possession, if it doesn’t provide the spark needed, then one just disregard it. One way of moving or doing an exercise is by walking, either outdoors or indoors through the use of a walking treadmill.
Experts agree that you can continue the workout depending on the intensity and its duration that can influence whether you will continue to do a workout or not. Long walks have the ability to improve our moods and reduce anxiety especially when these walks are done outdoors, but, there are times that that become impossible due to weather and other security reasons.
Walking is considered the easiest and the best cardio exercises which can be incorporated into the daily routine, and the good thing about it is that it can help in burning 300 to 400 calories in an hour. In order to get fit and lose those extra fats, one needs to do a brisk and a moderately fast-paced walk. This simple exercise can maintain a healthy weight at the same time improve one’s mood, and strengthen muscles and bones. Walking treadmills are best recommended for those who are recovering from injuries and those who wanted to get their daily dosage of exercises to keep fit and healthy.
Treadmills for walking are slightly different from the running treadmills and are only basically used for walking unlike running treadmills which can be used for running and walking. Another big difference is that they are much cheaper than the running treadmills. The best walking treadmills highly recommended by Simon Clarke of UnisonFitness are Bowflex TreadClimber TC 200 at $3,299, the Lifespan TR 2000e for $1,299 and the cheapest 3G Cardio 80i Fold Flat for only $1,799 and offered a lifetime warranty on some of their parts. A treadmill purchase is basically a large investment, but it’s worth having one at home doing an exercise in comfort whenever you feel like doing it without the problem of those inclement weather conditions.
Since walking treadmills are the choice for those who are recovering from injuries and sickness, a $5 million donation had been given by Al Herrington’s family in Tyler, Texas to fund the national expansion of free exercise therapy for cancer patients who are members of the Cancer Foundation for Life, that will be funding FitSTEPS for Life Program founded and chaired by Dr. Gary T. Kimmel that offers a program for individualized and free exercise therapy for cancer patients in their lifetime.
He started the program for cancer patients who just lie and rest which meant the deterioration of cardiovascular and muscular strength and bone integrity. He started the program small by just taking a treadmill to a cancer patient’s home and started them on an exercise program, and they had been benefited emotionally, physically and psychologically.
Dr. Kimmel had seen that exercise had increased the survival rate of those who had prostate, breast and colon cancers, and had mitigated the debilitating effects of the treatment and improve the patients’ chronic diseases and conditions. He claims that the $5 million will serve as a catalyst to grow the Foundation’s resources to continue, sustain and expand the program, knowing that they will be helping the patients with exercise that will never be replaced by any drug. Al Herrington was a participant in the FitSTEPs for Life program with a remission from prostate cancer and died at the age of 89.
