Me doing #beachbody yoga w @tonyshorton while being a mom. Never stops y’all. Even through my #workouts 😂. Got me thinking about today’s #fittipiftheday - listen to your body. . . I have been taking it easy with my workout lately. Why? Because I’ve been #overexercising. Yes. It’s a thing. . . Over exercising is more common than you think. A quick search online can tell you what all the symptoms are; but mine were hallucinations (yes. It happened before, so I know); increased heart rate, anxiety, depression. It happens. . Don’t overdo it. This is when #restdays are important. Over exercising can hurt more than it will help. . . A good guideline for how much you can #workout? I don’t always agree w them but the American Medical Association says to get at least 30 mins of activity a day 3xs a week. . . Yes. You can do more and most people do! Just remember your body is different from everybody else’s. Don’t think just because Bob Jones can workout 5 hrs a day, you can. . . Work up to it, if you want, but slowly and surely.
