The Ticklish Technician
Egon is fixing the computer while Janine is talking to him about books. When Egon finishes the computer, Janine's celebration ends up revealing something about Egon that she never thought could be possible. But...Did Janine go a little too far this time?

Egon was sitting with Janine, listening to her talk about the book she was reading while adjusting the back of the computer. Though he knew what book she was talking about, Egon would likely admit that he wasnât really listening to her. He was trying to rewire something in the computer, and didnât feel like he could engage in the conversation when more interesting things were happening.Â
âHave you ever read this book?â she asked him.Â
Egon paused his movements, and looked up at Janine. âWhat?âÂ
Janine held up the book and looked at it. âAnimal Farm.â She told him.Â
Egon nodded his head. âYes. I read it.â He told her.Â
âWhat did you think?â She asked.Â
Egon went back to rewiring. âI read it in school. It was an odd book.â He admitted.Â
âBut itâs a fascinating concept. Using the farm and the pigs as an allegory for Russia and the soviet union is an interesting idea.â She admitted.Â
âI suppose.â Egon responded, putting the computer shell onto the computer before reaching his hand over the computer. âScrewdriver.âÂ
Janine handed him the correct screwdriver. âYou werenât listening to me, were you?â She asked, smirking slightly.Â
Egon started spinning the screwdriver in his hand, tightening the screws. âA little bit.â He said back.Â
âYeah? Then how many rules did the animals have to follow on the farm?â She asked.Â
Egon tightened the screw a little bit more. âSeven.â He said.Â
âAlright, Iâll give you that one.â She smiled and fixed her glasses. âCan you tell me one of the rules?â She asked.Â
Egon moved to the next screw. âHumans are enemies.â Egon replied.Â
âClose. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.â She said.Â
âThat doesnât sound like english.â Egon told her.Â
Janine chuckled a little. âItâs old english.â She giggled and looked up at Egon. âI thought you wouldâve known that!â She reacted.Â
âI donât read.â He admitted.Â
âWell, you shouldâve.â She pointed to him with her bookmark before using it to keep her spot in her book.Â
Egon fell into silence as he finished screwing the computer case back together.Â
âYou almost done?â Janine asked.Â
Egon took a couple seconds to answer. âThere.â Egon stood up and walked to the side. âLetâs turn it on.â Egon clicked the button, and walked around to the other side of the desk. He looked at the computer, and watched as the âwindowsâ signal showed up on the screen.Â
âLooks like itâs booting up!â She declared.Â
âSo far.â Egon muttered, leaning against the desk.Â
âThatâs better than it was!â Janine cheered.Â
Egon watched carefully as the loading screen filled the meter, before changing to the blue sign-in screen with the classic âpowering onâ sound ringing in their ears.Â
âYes!â Janine jumped onto her feet.Â
âSign in please.â Egon told her.Â
âOh, right!â She sat down and signed into the computer. After a good few minutes, the classic log-in sound filled their ears, followed by the automatic opening of the previous scheduling program.Â
Quickly, Janine cheered again. âYay!â She threw her arms around Egon. âMy little technician.â She held him, holding her arms around his waist.Â
Egon didnât seem phased by this at first. He seemedâŠrelatively fine with her physical affection. But it was only when her nails began to flutter down his back, that he quickly tried to end the hug. He had flinched and grasped her shoulders out of surprise. âCareful.â He told her.Â
Janine opened her eyes and looked up. âWhat?â She asked.
âYour nails wereâŠâ He paused for a momentâŠbefore shaking his head. âNevermind.â He concluded. This peaked Janineâs interest. âWell now you gotta tell me.â Janine told him. âDid I do something you didnât like?â She asked him.Â
âNo.â Egon responded quicklyâŠbefore shaking his head. âUh- YesâŠWellâŠâ He looked stumpedâŠalmost like he didnât want her to find out.Â
Janine noticed this hesitation right away. âIf I can recallâŠâ She lifted her hands farther up his back. âI was scratching your back like this.â She gently scratched down his back with her nails. âDid it-âÂ
âAah- Thatâs what-â He gasped and arched his back, lifting his head back slightly. âJ-Janine?!â He jumped, before looking at her. âDonât.â He warned with a slightly worried look on this face.Â
Now, Janine is usually super good at reading anyoneâs body language. Now, Egon posed a bit of an issue when trying to read his body language becauseâŠwellâŠhe didnât show much emotion at all. But right now? Egon was showing the most amount of emotion that Janine had ever seen! He was practically an open book by this point! And Janine was loving it!Â
Janine slowly narrowed her eyes and drew a sneaky little swirl on his back with her pointing finger. âIs this what I think it is?â She asked, a slight smirk filling her cheeks.Â
Egon jumped and kept instinctively moving his back to get away from her evil fingers. âN-No! Itâs not.â He tried to argue, to no avail.Â
Janine let out a villainous little giggle that sent shivers up Egonâs spine. âI think someoneâŠâ She brought her fingers slowly down his back. â-Maybe a littleâŠâ She brought her fingers to his sides. â-Ticklish!â She playfully scratched and skittered her fingers on his now-vulnerable sides.Â
âaaAAh- D-Dohonât!â Egon yelped and covered his sides super quickly. âJanine!â He yelled.Â
But Egon had to squeeze his eyes shut as he felt her little fingers wiggle through his arms and tickle his sides anyway. He was barely being tickled, and he could hardly hold it together!Â
âWhat? Oh, does this tickle?â Janine teased, pretending to be innocent.Â
Egon could already feel a crooked, nerdy grin filling his cheeks. âThis ihis nohohot-âÂ
âNot what? What is this not, Spengie?â Janine asked, smirking a little bit. âFair?â She asked. âProper?â She described next. âHonorable?â She giggled a little. âI am a walking, talking thesaurus, Spengie. If you need help, I can surely help you find the words.â She teased.Â
Egon let out a series of snickers as he hung his head. âU-unfahahahair!â He admitted.Â
âUnfair, huh?â Janine teased. âI personally prefer the word âadorableâ.â She told him.Â
Egon shook his head as he tried his hardest to hide his laughter. But it was difficult. He wasnât used to being tickledâŠespecially now that heâs an adult. And now the new secretary, who seems to be taking a liking to him, is tickling him for fun! And based on where her fingers were headed, his laughter may get stronger.Â
Janineâs hands slowly moved up his ribs. âHow about here?â She asked, gently scraping his ribs with her evil nails. âHow ticklish are these poor little ribs or yours?â She asked rather villainously.Â
Egon squeezed his eyes shut and increased his wiggling slightly to try and get away. âJ-Janihine?! Dohonât youdare!â He warned.Â
âOooohâŠbut I dare, Spengie~â She scratched one of his right ribs. âI wasnât aware your ribs would be this sensitive.â She teased, scratching the left side of his ribs as well.Â
âJ-Jahahaha-â Egon gasped and doubled over, guffawing. âGAHA! NOhohoho!â He yelled out.Â
âWell isnât this just a fun little fact!â She teased. âItâd be a shame if the other ghostbusters found out about this~â She teased next.Â
âDohohonât tehell! Ihihi swehehehear!â He warned.Â
âOkay, okay. I wonât tell.â She told him, poking up his ribs a little more. âBut I just might let the others find out for themselves~â She teased, seeing the shadows of the fellow ghostbusters in the back room nearby.Â
âNohoho plehehehehease!â Egon tried to back himself away, which surprisingly did work at first!
...Only for Janine to run after him and tickle higher on his ribs again. âNice try~ But I know all your little secrets now.â She teased, getting closer and closer to his armpits.Â
âDohohonât! Plehehease dohohohohonât!â He begged.Â
âDonât what, Spengie? Donât what?â She asked, giggling a bit.Â
âNohoho ahaharmpihits!â Egon ordered.Â
âOh, your armpits?â She asked, pretending like she didnât know. âNow thatâs a spot I never thought of! What a great idea!â She immediately shoved her little hands into his armpits.Â
And just as she expected, Egon twisted himself around and wheezed as he tried to run away from her. âSTAHAHAhahahap! Hahahahaha!â Egon cackled, practically losing his footing as he struggled in her arms. âOh, but I just canât! Itâs too much fun just to stop now!â she reacted. âThis is quite entertaining for meâŠmore entertaining than my book, actually!â She added. âSo why in the world, would I stop tickling you and read my book, when I could have even more fun listening to your laughter?â She asked rather playfully.Â
Egon hung his head, and squirmed around somewhat helplessly in her arms. He could feel a small blush filling his cheeks as he tried to wiggle himself out of her grip.Â
As much as he wanted to get her off him, her nails were forcefully stuck to him until he worked up the courage to open his armpits! And everyone knows not to do that! Cause if you do, then you may risk getting even MORE of your armpits tickled! And no one wants that! âBehehecause ihihihitâs uhuhunprofessionahahal!â Egon tried to get out.Â
âOh, Iâm sorryâŠI couldnât hear you over the sound of your rare, rather adorable laughter. Can you please repeat that?â She asked him.Â
Egon laughed a bit more. âIhihitâs uhuhunprofehessional! Vehehery uhuhuhunprofessionahahal!â He tried to get out.Â
âUnprofessional?!â Janine gasped and turned to one of the ghostbusters. âWeâll see about that. Hey Winston?â Janine spoke up.Â
âHm?â Winston got up. âYeah?âÂ
âWould you say tickling one of the ghostbusters is considered âunprofessionalâ?â Janine asked him.Â
Winston widened his eyes as he finally took in the sight: Egon, the most quiet and nerdiest of the ghostbusters, was being tickled by the secretary! âW-WellâŠâ Winston cleared his throat. âUsually, yes.â He spoke up.Â
Egon let out a mental sigh of relief. Thank godâŠHe agrees with him!Â
âBut since itâs Egon of all peopleâŠWho never smiles or laughsâŠâ Winston spoke up next. âIâd say itâs perfectly fine.â Winston declared rather proudly.Â
Wait, WHAT?!Â
Egon looked at Winston with shock and betrayal. âWhahat!? WINSTON-!â Egon reached his arms out towards Winston, hoping desperately that Winston would change his mind and help him. But Egon quickly shrieked and pulled his hands back as his upper ribs were now being dug into by Janineâs swift little fingers. âWell, would you look at that? Someone who finally agrees with me!â She reacted. âNow what do you say we make you laugh for a little while longer?â Janine teased, sounding somewhat eager.Â
âJANIHIHINE! PLEHEHEHEASE!â Egon shouted for the first time that day.Â
âOh goodness! So loud for such a silent man!â Janine teased, giggling.Â
Egon shook his head. âSHUHUHUT UHUP!â Egon yelled.Â
Winston widened his eyes. âIâm sorry, did Egon Spengler just tell a girl to shut up?!â He asked, surprised.Â
âI believe he did!â Janine reacted. âWhat should we do about this?âÂ
Winston smirked slightly. âWould you like me to help?â Winston asked.Â
âReally?â Janine widened her eyes brightly.Â
âYeah! Iâll help! Anything to get Egon to laugh more.â Winston walked closer. âEgonâs such a deadpan guyâŠHe needs to let loose sometimes.â He poked his side, seeing how heâd react.Â
Sure enough, Egon jumped and guffawed, not expecting such a strong poke.Â
âOh wowâŠâ Winston smirked and scratched his side a little bit.Â
ânO!â Egon shot him the best glare he could, considering Janine was still tickling him.Â
Winston laughed. âWas that supposed to scare me?!â Winston squeezed his side.Â
Egonâs glare quickly dropped as he threw his head back with cackles. âGAHAHAhahahahaha! Stohohohop ihihit!âÂ
âEeeh, donât want to.â Winston admitted. âBesides:â Winston squeezed both his sides this time. âThis is surprisingly kinda fun.â He admitted.Â
âI know, right?! Iâd say this is the best new fact since sliced bread!â Janine joked.Â
âShuhuhut ihihihit!â Egon shot at them.Â
âSorry, Spengler. Not gonna happen.â Winston told him. âWeâre a little busy tickling your ghostbusting ass.âÂ
Egon shook his head as both Janine AND Winston completely destroyed him with tickles. The poor manâs laughter was loud enough to earn himself an audience! Naturally, that audience quickly revealed itself to be the other Ghostbusters. And they appeared to be watching with shock, and endless amusement at Egonâs funny little situation.Â
And telling by their faces, Egon knew the whole crew would vow to NEVER let Egon live this down until the day he dies. And thatâŠwas either going to be a curse, or a blessing. Which one for sure?Â
Not even Egon knows yet.Â
