Episode 13: Jake Skywalker: The Worst Jedi
Welcome to the second episode in our Fixing the Sequels series! This time we’re focusing on that controversy of all controversies, Jake Skywalker. Some people liked him, others felt like he was an insult to everything Star Wars had ever stood for before this, but we had some ideas on what we would’ve liked to have seen happen for the character in the Sequels.
NJO Timeline
4 ABY.
Battle of Endor. Darth Vader no longer, Anakin Skywalker kills Darth Sidious, fulfilling the prophecy of the Chosen One and bringing balance to the Force by destroying the Sith. The second Death Star is destroyed by the Millennium Falcon.
The wedding of Han Solo and Leia Organa; Shortly after this, Leia Organa begins training in the ways of the Force on Ajan Kloss, per her choice of location, under the tutelage of her brother, Luke Skywalker.
Operation: Cinder is initiated; Garrick Versio recieves his instructions, leading to the battle of Fondor and the mission to Pillio, after which the Versio's operation is moved to Vardos, prompting the skirmish on Vardos.
Three months after the Battle of Endor
The mission to Vetine occurs. Two fragments of the Great Tree are retrieved by Luke Skywalker and Shara Bey.
Ubrik Adelhard, the Imperial governor in charge of the Anoat sector, locks his sector down, establishing the Iron Blockade. Deprived of the Rebel Alliance's help, those trapped inside the blockade start an uprising.
Four years after their victory at the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance to Restore the Republic declares the formation of the New Republic.
5 ABY.
By this point, Brin Izisca had become a leader of the Church of the Force, and made holographic recordings of his teachings, including himself reading from the Journal of the Whills.
The New Republic restores the Galactic Senate on Chandrila, its capital. At Nadiri Dockyards, the Republic's Project Starhawk produces the Starhawk, a prototype vessel made from salvaged Galactic Empire starships at the debris field of Sissubo for the development of the Starhawk-class battleship.
Luke Skywalker sees an image of his mother for the first time through R2-D2.
Luke Skywalker participates in the Battle Mindor, where he uses the Force to influence the battle as the New Republic forces have to deal with imperial reinforcements Luke doubles down on his use of battle meditation. Luke dominates the minds of both the Imperials and New Republic forces and comes close to falling to the dark side of the force if it wasn’t for Leia.
Luke Skywalker retires from the New Republic military, and begins searching the galaxy for lost lore of the Force. Mon Mothma allows Luke Skywalker to keep his X-Wing but she makes sure its disarmed of its proton torpedo's.
Luke Skywalker begins training Dev Nova a Human Male Force Sensitive in the Jedi Arts.
Luke and Dev travel to Mygeeto in search of Kyber Crystals. Dev Nova constructs a blue bladed lightsaber.
Battle of Jakku. One year and four days after the Battle of Endor, New Republic forces and the bulk of the Imperial Navy engage on Jakku, with the Republic emerging victorious. The Galactic Empire splinters into various warlord factions.
Ben Solo is born to Leia Organa and Han Solo. By this point, Leia Organa had concluded her year-long training with Luke Skywalker for she witnessed visions of the future, seeing where she would best serve the galaxy.
Since Leia became overwhelmed in trying to tend to both her motherly and political duties, she enlisted the protocol droid C-3PO's help in taking care of the Ben Solo. The droid uploaded information regarding child-rearing into his memory banks and met the challenge with initial enthusiasm but mixed results. After Chewbacca returned from Kessel with Han, he also aided in raising the Solo Child.
Ysanne Isard engages in a series of political maneuvers to damage the New Republic and seize control of the Empire.
Zorba Desilijic Tiure's imprisonment on Kip finally ends after Kip is overrun by space pirates.
Luke Skywalker discovery's a cloning facility inside of one of Emperor Palpatine’s secret vaults.
Luke Skywalker begins traveling the galaxy in search of Emperor Palpatine’s hidden vaults in order to destroy anything that could assist in the return of the Sith.
6 ABY.
Lando Calrissian Introduces Luke Skywalker to the Hero of the Anoat Sector a Force Sensitive Twi’lek Female in possession of a Lightsaber. She joins Dev Nova & Luke Skywalker in traveling the Galaxy for lost lore of the Force.
Rogue Squadron reforms under Wedge Antilles.
New Republic forces switch from the guerrilla tactics of the Alliance to a campaign of claiming important Core Worlds as the Empire's grip crumbles.
Zsinj begins his campaign against the New Republic.
The Desilijic clan puts a huge dead or alive bounty on the Heads of Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa Solo, Han Solo, Chewbacca & Lando Calrissian.
The Hero of the Anoat Sector abandons Luke Skywalker’s Jedi teachings to return to a hedonistic lifestyle far away from war.
Luke Skywalker leaves Dev Nova on the Lars Homestead to better hone his abilities. Nova encounters a tribe of Tuscans waring with moisture farmers. He niigataites a peace treaty but only if he can survive the hush deserts of the dune sea and kill a Krayt dragon. their way back to the tribe using their Force abilities to survive the harsh deserts of the Dune Sea, evade a sarlacc, and befriend a Jawa clan.
Leia Organa & Luke Skywalker meet with Ahsoka Tano onboard the Falcon.
Luke Skywalker discovers Jedi Master Jocasta Nu’s stockpile of Jedi Artifacts
7 ABY.
The New Republic captures Coruscant from the Empire as it continues to deteriorate.
Ysanne Isard leaves an artificial virus called the Krytos virus that infects all non-Humans, behind on Coruscant to drain the New Republic's already strained resources and create an enmity between Humans and non-Humans. Together these are designed to tear the New Republic apart.
Wedge Antilles and the rest of Rogue Squadron leave the New Republic military and begin the Bacta War against Ysanne Isard.
Wedge Antilles and the former Rogue Squadron members attack Thyferra to get bacta for the New Republic.
The New Republic receives the needed bacta from Wedge Antilles and the former Rogue Squadron to eliminate the plague. Isard fakes her death and disappears.
8 ABY.
Zsinj dies during the Battle of Dathomir.
Luke Skywalker witnesses a hologram, kept by R2-D2, of his father leading the slaughter at the Jedi Temple, as well as another one in which Anakin was Force-choking his mother.
Coruscant devolves into straight chaos.
Due to Aran Zerek;s death and a growing fear that he would create the next Vader, Skywalker became reluctant to take on any more apprentices.
9 ABY.
The Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin undertakes a mission to Arvala-7.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda and Anakin Skywalker’s Force spirits move on.
Beginning of the Thrawn Crisis: Grand Admiral Thrawn & an insane Ezra Bridger return from the Unknown Regions and seizes control of the Imperial fleet, managing to recruit Captain Gilad Pellaeon.
Luke & Dev Nova run into famed Galactic Hyperspace explorer Lor San Tekka & his daughter Dr. Aphra San Tekka a archaeologist.
Thrawn gains custody of a large portion of the lost Katana fleet.
The Smugglers' Alliance is founded by Talon Karrde in order to assist the New Republic against Thrawn's forces.
Ahsoka Tano sacrifices her life to save Luke Skywalker from a deranged Ezra Bridger. Ezra’s spends his final breath warning Luke Skywalker of a greater threat in the unknown regions, The Praetorite.
The Battle of Bilbringi is fought: Thrawn is assassinated by his bodyguard, Rukh. His death marks the end of the Thrawn Crisis.
The Noghri defect to the New Republic when they discover that the Empire has been manipulating them and polluting their world.
10 ABY.
an mysterious Imperial figure head emerges claiming to be the Imperial heir and rightful ruler of the Galaxy. in secret he is a non force sensitive clone of Palpatine who takes the mantle of Galactic Emperor, and vows to reunite the galaxy after destroying the New Republic.
Imperial Warlords hungry for power murder Palpatine’s clone and all his heirs.
With the New Republic and the Galactic Empire both in weakened states. the Hutt Cartel has reformed into the Hutt Empire and have began expanding there territories unopposed.
11 ABY.
Dev Nova completes his training under Luke Skywalker & is promoted to Jedi Knight.
Jedi Master Luke Skywalker travels the Galaxy conducting a massive recruiting and screening of potential Force Sensitives interested in a taking a vow of a life of service within the Jedi Order.
Luke Skywalker establishes the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin 4, and his sister Leia becomes Chief of State of the New Republic.
The Hutt Empire takes control of the Corellian trade spine.
12 ABY.
Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Temple on Yavin 4 is destroyed by Imperial Remnant orbital bombardment. Luke evacuates his temple and the neighboring colony. Poe Dameron’s parents are killed in the attack. Many of his students decide the Jedi Path is not for them and return to their previous ways of life.
The term "Imperial Remnant" is used for the first time referring to the shattered remains of the Empire, now unified under Gilad Pellaeon. After her success in the Assault on Yavin 4, Admiral Daala turns control of the United Warlord Fleets over to Pellaeon, who forms the Remnant. The Council of Moffs is formed to serve as the Remnant's governing body. This marks the end of the Imperial Civil War.
The Hutts begin construction on the Darksaber.
New Republic Hero Crix Madine is killed.
13 ABY.
The Zygerrian Empire joins an axies of powers with The Hutt Empire and Corporate Sector.
Disciples of Ragnos Cultist Release the Death Seed Plague throughout the Galaxy, trillions die.
A Cure is developed in the corporate sector, quadrillions of new republic citizens flock to the CSA.
14 ABY.
Rise and fall of the Disciples of Ragnos.
Both the Imperial Remnant & the New Republic go bankrupt from years of conflict.
Following the collapse of the Empire Reborn movement, and destruction of the Disciples of Ragnos cult, major armed conflict between the New Republic and the Imperial Remnant drops off, turning into almost a cold war. an official truce is in the works.
The Corporate Sector greatly expand their territory.
15 ABY.
11 years after the battle of Endor, Luke Skywalker has successfully trained twelve of his acolytes as full fledge Jedi Knights.
Luke Skywalker takes his 12 Jedi Knights alongside his 11 year old nephew and builds a Jedi Temple on Dantooine far away from the influence of the Galactic Republic.
Chief of State Leia Organa Solo, gives birth to her second child Kira Solo.
16 ABY.
Ben Solo turns 11 years old
Luke Skywalker establishes the Junior Jedi Academy a division of his Jedi Temple specifically for training younglings.
The initial class was twenty diverse students of different species. Ben Solo, Voe, Hennix and Tai were some of the first students.
17 ABY.
Black Fleet Crisis climaxes, The Black Fleet Crisis was the local conflict in the Koornacht Cluster between 16–17 ABY that saw the New Republic intervene against the Yevethan Duskhan League in response to the xenocide of all non-Yevethan sentient life. The crisis was further defined by political upheaval within the New Republic.
New Republic Senate is bombed by terrorist.

The Corellian Crisis, the Corellian insurrection.

The Caamas Document Crisis takes place.
During the early years of Solo's apprenticeship, Lor San Tekka, a traveler noted for his expertise on the Jedi Order, informed Skywalker about the discovery of an ancient Jedi outpost on the planet Elphrona. Embarking on a mission to investigate San Tekka's findings, Skywalker brought his apprentice with him, knowing that, like himself, Solo was interested in discovering Jedi artifacts.

Luke’s Jedi fight against the fanatical imperial loyalist which attempts to disrupt the peace between the New Republic and Imperial Remnant, as it has become known, and restart the Galactic Civil War.

The Diversity Alliance, an extremist anti-Human organization, is formed.

The Diversity Alliance is defeated by Ben Solo & several other Jedi apprentices.
Lando Calrissian establishes a mining operation in the Dubrillion system.
The lightsaber of Obi-Wan Kenobi is found at Bast Castle on Vjun by Ben Solo.
Luke Skywalker finds the lost Book of Sith in the ruins of Mount Tantiss and destroys it.
Mon Mothma passes away.
25 ABY.
Luke Skywalker’s, Jedi Mind; Secrets from the Force: Balance & Peace, is published by Pastor Brin Izisca.
Luke & his Jedi settle a dispute between two systems.
Ben Solo turns 21 & is Knighted by his Uncle, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker.
Jedi Master Luke Skywalker constructs his Jedi Holocron.
Dev Nova recruits a small following of Jedi to fight against the injustices of the unopposed Hutt Empire, the Zygerrian slavers and the inhumane Corporate Sector. Ben Solo leaves against Luke’s wishes to fight alongside Dev Nova.
26 ABY.
The re-emergence of the Jedi rallies the New Republic to stand up against the Hutt Empire.
The Hutts Capture Jedi Master Dev Nova on the planet Ren and torture him to death.
Leia travels to Hutt space to negotiate a treaty, she finds out her son has been captured by the Hutts and instead slays Beldorian a force sensitive Hutt warlord in possession of Dev Nova’s lightsaber. Leia is critically injured in the fight having been impaled by the Lightsaber through her abdomen.
Han Solo along side Luke Skywalker & a small task force of Jedi rescue Leia.
27 ABY.
Ben Solo escapes Hutt Captivity captures a Hutt super weapon and unleashes it on Nal Hutta.
The Hutt expansion instantly ceased and pushed back.
Jedi like Ben Solo are hulled as heroes even though they committed massive amounts of war crimes.
More then one quarter of the republic fleet swears loyalty to Ben Solo. the other half want the Jedi to answer for their crimes against humanity.
28 ABY.
Cal Omas is elected Chief of State
Senator Leia Organa resigns from the Galactic Senate following revelations of her parentage.
Ben Solo turns 23 years old
Scared that he will be put on trial & executed Ben Solo and the surviving Jedi that left to fight the Hutts return to Dantooine. Ben Solo and his fellow crusaders are viewed as living legends by the younger students.
Ben Solo convinces half of Luke Skywalker’s students to abandoned the Jedi way and to join him on a new journey.
Luke Skywalker decides that Ben Solo and his Knights need to either remain on Dantooine or attend The New Republic Senates hearings for there war crimes.
A division between the Jedi causes a clash. But Ben Solo decides a blood bath is not the way, he relents and travels to Hosnian Prime for trial.
29 ABY.
Ben Solo is put on trial.
30 ABY.
The Praetorite Zonama invade the unknown regions of the galaxy, under the direction of Supreme Leader Sekot Anor. a tactical mastermind who is also very strong in both the light and dark side’s of Force. The Praetorite Zonama were able to bring many of empires to their knees those fallen included the mighty Chiss Ascendancy, Grysk Hegemony, Ssi-ruuvi Imperium, Vagaari nomadic warriors and absorbing all that they conquest into there empire.

Kira Solo turns 16years old and wins the Junior Five Sabers.
The Praetorite Zonama invade the known galaxy.
The Praetorite Zonama attack Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Temple Luke’s Jedi flee to the temple of eedit on Devoran.

With Sebastian Stan on board with portraying Luke Skywalker in a solo film between episodes VI & VII, I would love to see stranger thing's Finn Wolfhard play a young Ben Solo to explore his relationship with his uncle before turning to the dark side. As for Leia I know it’s a touchy subject but I think Maggie Gyllenhaal could respectfully play Princess Leia.
Imagine A Jedi Academy Series, with Ben and Luke traveling the galaxy and rebuilding the Jedi Order.
What if Jedi Master Luke Skywalker never gave up after Ben Solo, now Kylo Ren, slaughtered his students at his Jedi Temple? In this Star Wars The Last Jedi fan fiction/rework we are going to be talking about what would happen if Luke never did just that!
