I love how whiny Star Wars fans pretend like Star Wars was perfect before 2012. They love to gaslight people and pretend that 75% of the internet didn’t hate the prequels with a burning passion brighter than the sun. So much so George Lucas sold the franchise
They also pretend like each and every legends book and comic was an absolute banger when you probably have about as many great legends and canon books. Not to mention the worst Star Wars thing ever came out literally 1 year after a new hope. If you want to watch Chewbacca’s dad watch soft core porn that’s your business. But I wouldn’t say that it was good.
People need to stop pretending like their era of Star Wars was some masterpiece
In every show. In every trilogy there are some good parts and some real stinkers don’t let anyone tell you this or that era of Star Wars was perfect. It straight up wasn’t. Star Wars has always been a mess. A mess I love but a mess all the same
Went to Barnes and Noble and found this book...
My camera skills are awful, but I thought it was interesting how they put Zeb and Kallus in the "It's Complicated" section. And I finally found out the couple's names from TRoS! (Stormpilot should've won in that movie too, but oh well. They were still in the frriendship section of the book.) (Chirrut and Baze are in there too, but I can't remember which section.)
Fandom Friday, 4/17: Fanfiction!
Hello and good morning to you all, and welcome once again to another Fandom Friday. As always, this is your host Coffeelorian or if you prefer, just plain Coffee, back with another update from around the vast fandom that is Star Wars.
Before we get started, I miiight have a little good news and bad news, so as tradition would have it, let’s deal with the bad news first—it’s been a VERY tiring week for me this time around, so because of this, you’re all definitely getting the short list.
However, it’s also true that the first of May is fast approaching, which coincidentally matches with a famous branch of the Grand Army of the Republic, so! In order to kick things off right, I’m planning a very special Fandom Friday edition to celebrate those Troopers in white and blue, and I hope you’ll all be there to join me. Mark it on your calendars, save it to your phones, and…if you’re just joining us today, mmmaybe add yourselves to the tag list for more reach.
Until that day comes, though…here are my picks of the week.
THE BAD BATCH
The Bad Batch Fanfiction—“The Batch Games: Seasons of Defects”, by @stars-n-spice.
The Bad Batch Fanfiction—“Trespass: Crossroads, Part 1”, by @nine-touched.
MAUL: SHADOW LORD
Maul: Shadow Lord Fanfiction—“KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED - Part 1”, by @maulsscream.
Maul: Shadow Lord Fanfiction—“Admiration”, by @snapmite1998.
THE SEQUEL TRILOGY
The Sequels Fanfiction—“Untitled”, by @theladyofmanyfandomsfanfiction.
The Sequels Fanfiction—“Under The Milky Twilight”, by @dailyreverie.
In conclusion, as part of my mission to poke around the Star Wars fandom and highlight those creators who might otherwise go unnoticed…I hope you will check out the links I have included for yourselves and like, comment on, and reblog them, as well as also giving the writers a few more followers to their Tumblr pages.
Please also like and reblog this latest installment so that these links can be spread around to as many other fans as possible, just in case not all of them can tune in at the same time.
An additional thank you goes to @djarrex for making the divider I used earlier in this post, but still want to give credit for.
If anybody likes what they see here AND would enjoy seeing more posts like this; please drop the rock star emoji (👩🎤) into the comments or reblogs, and I’ll be sure to tag you when the next update comes.
And finally, so that I do not forget…thank you to my friends, thank you to this fandom, and above all else, please stay safe out there.

What went wrong with the sequel trilogy?
No plan and basing the ST on mystery boxes and "subverted expectations"
No balance of treating the legacy characters well while passing the torch
Falsely advertising Finn as the Jedi and reducing him to a side character
No clear motivation for Kylo Ren or the First Order
Not sticking with Rey being a nobody and Ben Solo as the Skywalker of the trilog
Empire vs Rebels, but dumber
Destroying 30 years of peace offscreen
Destroying the New Republic and Luke's Jedi Order
Destroying everything Han, Luke, Leia, Anakin, Padme and Obi-Wan sacrificed for
Making everything Han and Leia fought for meaningless by killing their son
Rey ending up on a desert planet, alone, where she started
The Skywalker bloodline going extinct with Palpatine's heir taking their name
This IS their song!!
