Fixing your eyes on something or someone gives them your complete attention for that moment. Looking into my wife's eyes and telling her that I love her means so much more than looking at her forehead. There's a connection made in that moment that goes beyond the words. I'm not being soppy, stay with me, keep reading it will all come together. I am being open and transparent though. Being honest with yourself and others is one of the best precursors to being intimate with God. The kind of intimacy that involves fixing your eyes on Jesus for more than a single moment and takes practice. Like any relationship you need to spend time together, doing so, brings your relationship to a maturity and keeps you close together. It must also be ongoing. This Easter, fix your eyes on Jesus. Look deeply into the love he has for you. Then, keep doing it, each day. Keep telling him you love him. Keep thanking him. Stay open and honest with him. Look into his eyes. Look at the wounds in his hands and feet and side. Look at the crown of thorns on his head. See the scars on his back. Talk to him. Ask him why he loved you so much. Fix your eyes on Jesus. What surrounds you?

Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord . Be glad in the Lord , and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! Psalms 32:10‭-‬11 ESV

How do you see the things, the people, the circumstances that are around you everyday? Let me tell you a difference between someone who loves the Lord God and someone who does not: although both can experience terrible things in life, the one who loves God is able to stand strong and rejoice in the midst of tribulation and struggle while the other person lives desperately trying to survive such moment.

This verse tells me that steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord, but i believe thay even for the wicked God's steadfast love is there also, it is just that sin blocks his way and his eyes to see its abundance and availability.

Sometimes, even believers doesn't recognize the abundance of God's mercy and love in our lives because we tend to shift our focus when troubles come. I pray that we refrain from shifting focus but instead, continue to fix our eyes onto God and see His faithfulness, His love, His mercy, His everything covering our whole being. Rejoice because no matter what, you'll never be in want when Jesus is all you see.
