personally, from a doylist perspective, i totally get why C!Collin got publicly executed at the E4. he’d been stuck with a shitty pokemon and not nearly enough screentime because of that, and when you want all your friends to get at least a little fanart and appreciation, you have to do things to get them that attention. and it worked! we all know Collin the Illumise now, and I think that it’s a poster of him specifically on the IMDB page!
that said. from a watsonian perspective. what the fuck, derek. you killed a guy!!!!!
Yeah it 100% makes sense from cc!salty’s perspective but when analysing csalty himself it makes very little sense for his character to just murder ccolllin and it makes all of his “im traumatised by all my friends dying” arc in s2 have less impact because he CHOSE to kill collin.
