So now that's it canon that Buck watches The Bachelor with May and Harry, I'm thinking about Harry stumbling across a casting by the production company hoping to find the new bachelor. Harry has been listening to Buck talk about how he just wants to fall in love and find his person for months now, and decides to submit Buck to the casting without telling him.
It's not really a secret, but Harry doesn't want to get Buck’s hopes up in case they don't pick Buck -- the last thing he needs is more bad news. He's with May when the email comes in wanting to set up an interview with Buck, and Harry is so excited!
May happens to read the email over his shoulder and is immediately like, "Harry, what the hell? Why did you do that?" and Harry explains that he wanted to help Buck find the love of his life, and May just looks at him blankly and goes, "Harry, he's in love with Eddie."
This is complete news to Harry, who genuinely thought Buck talked about Eddie and their (mis)adventures so much as a way to get Harry hyped about hopefully joining the 118. He feels like an idiot for missing the clues, but he feels even worse about the fact that he's going to have to tell The Bachelor producers that Buck's not interested.
He's about to send them a rejection email when May stops him. "Maybe, this could be a good thing," she says, already scheming. "I think we should let him go to the interview. They probably won't even pick him, but maybe the threat of Buck having to date multiple people on television will be the kick Eddie needs to realize he's in love with Buck."
Cue Harry, totally confused because "wait, Eddie's in love with Buck?" And poor May just pats Harry on the shoulder in a condescending but earnest way, only older sisters are capable of.
And that's the story about how Buck nearly ends up on The Bachelor but pulls out at the last second because Eddie finally decides to kiss him right before he goes in for the final round of auditions.
