For once, Viola was inside during the day, the approaching storm had her preparing for a cozy night by the fire with a book and a bowl of stew.

She thought she'd imagined that thud, then considered it was thunder. No, it didn't sound like thunder, it was too close. Going outside to check she was horrified to find Shamar collapses on porch.

Cursing and growling as she picked him up Viola carried him inside and laid him out on the kitchen table "Shamar, sweetie, can you hear me?" She asked as she grabbed a box from one of the cabinets "Try not to move too much, I need to stop the bleeding and patch you up."
