fun fact: most flies lay their eggs in decaying matter, while flesh flies are not ovoviviparous. flesh flies will deposit hatched maggots (their larvae) into decaying matter, dung, and open wounds (garnering their name)

Look at how pretty this fly's wings are! And those funny big ol eyes. I see these guys flitting about every so often, they're a bit bigger than many of the other flies we have around here.
