How do we pronounce Sisi and Bebe?
I'm a little confused about Grimmauld Place vs. The Hall. Who owns what and where does everyone live, and where did everyone grow up?
How do you possibly manage to write a fic this length and this cohesive with a partner? Like what's your actual method for writing it? Do you alternate chapters? Do you each write certain characters? Did you plan the whole thing out and then execute it or did you keep each other guessing throughout? I'm so intrigued!
Also, I think you might just be the nicest person I've seen on Tumblr. You're so supportive of everyone's creations and I think it's just lovely.

Sisi and Bebe rhyme, and they're long Es, so "See-see" and "Bee-bee".
Grimmauld Place is where Sirius and Bellatrix live. It's owned by the Black family, but most of them reside in the Hall. It's based off of the real Haddon Hall, but Arcturus rules the roost there and is where Regulus and Narcissa live and are privately educated. Think of it like: Grimmauld is the city house, while the Hall is the country estate and the seat of power. It's enormous!
As for the creation of the fic, it sort of just fell together. Fantismal and I have similar enough writing styles that we were able to mesh well, which IS NOT always the case, lol! (You can still usually tell which narrative bits are mine by the em dash abuse, run-on sentences, and alliteration.)
We started with the premise: how do they get each other's numbers? What compels them to keep communicating? What would be interesting to read?
We had broad ideas in mind: Remus loses his phone, Sirius finds it, they start texting. James comes into Remus's life after being separated from Sirius's. Remus and James become friends. Remus and Sirius meet (somehow), and the rest can be spoilers, lol.
Starting in June 2021, we wrote a lot over discord and then in a shared Google doc. We split up the characters to give a balance to conversations, and a lot of the actual smaller scenes in a chapter were off the cuff. We knew where we WANTED to get to for that chunk, but wouldn't plan out the minutiae of the conversations. This mostly bit us in the arse for Flo & Mary chats (absolute chaos) and me with Bellatrix, because no one tells Bellatrix Black what to do.
The narratives were written by the "owner" of the character, but the action beats and dialogue of other characters were done by their owners. So the Halloween scene, while in Lily's POV, had dialogue for James, Alice, Frank, Flo, and Sev written by Fanti.
I've never written something this large before, let alone with someone! We got stuck a few times with plot points and would rework them and do "what if?" scenarios that get dropped on the Discord Server (18+) every so often, until it felt right. It was an amazing journey, and we never thought it would take off this successfully or fast.
