Our boat was the near one This was a wonderful couple of days spent floating down the Mekong in Laos. Though the are a significant number of boats on the river, we didn't see them most of the time,so it felt like we had the river to ourselves. Also for most of the trip, this is about the widest the river ever was #mekongriver #floatingalong #longboats #cruise #pakbengtoluangprabang #view #travelphotography #asia #travel #southeastasia https://www.instagram.com/p/Bvdd5xPnKDk/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1tpe681ao6oql
I spy w. my little 👀 something you usually don't see when you plan 🛩 #floatingalong #chicagobound #dbp #roadlife
When the rain won’t stop.
My heart is always battling between two truths.
It’s as if my heart is split straight down the middle; there is no common ground when the rain won’t stop.
My feelings flood my mind, and I can’t keep my head above water.
I finally get a grasp for air and my body is floating aloft,
I catch a breath,
I know which way to go.
But then, the rain comes again,
Pouring into my home, my space, everything I have and ever wanted.
It all washes it away, as if,
it’s never what I wanted in the first place.

I’M A LITTLE RAIN DROP, ROUND & PLUMP.
I said I’d appreciate the small things this year. I hope I can follow through! This picture was taken outside St Andrew's Cathedral, Singapore with my new camera lens gifted to me on my birthday. No edits; just a filter and a frame, and several drops of rain.
This picture though, reminds me of what someone called me – fat but small. I don't know whether to be insulted or indebted. Yet, I hope to lose some water retention by the end of this year, more specifically for my wedding! If only it was as easy as being under the sun. I'm sure these raindrops lost its plumpness with the help of some UV exposure. Me? I'm trying all sorts of things. Stretch, slap, bamboozle, block – oh look! A cookie! Nom nom nom.
