Every morning I get up & write for a couple of minutes. It’s been such a huge blessing for me to be able to express myself & to physically be able to write again. I sit at my desk, choose my healing oils for the day, light my candle, honour and give thanks to the earth. Today I burned Rosemary to help me heal, cleanse, purify & raise my vibration. It also helps with memory, concentration & CFS/Fibro fog xx

It’s daffy season, the end of it anyway! So I thought I’d make some daffodil flower essence since daffodils are among the poisonous plants. Daffodils contain lycorine, which is dangerous to animals and can cause nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting in humans. As a flower essence they are safe to take. Daffodils are the first signs of new life in spring. They illuminate the darkness. They help to bring clarity and shed new light. Daffodils help us find our inner voice and learn how to use it, and they facilitate self-reflection. Daffodils have six outer petals in the shape of a hexagram which helps to integrate energy and bring us out of shock. I think we could all use some daffodil essence after last year! New Flower Essence! Larkspur- since it’s pride month I thought it was the perfect opportunity to showcase a poisonous plant with mythological association to homosexuality. The young man Hyakinthos was transformed into the flower after his death but his mourning lover the god Apollo. 🌈 Larkspur is a member of the Ranunculaceae family. It is closely related to delphinium, hellebore, and wolfsbane (which it resembles slightly) Larkspur is the annular variety with finer leaves than its perennial cousin Delphinium. These are native northern hemisphere plants. All members of this family are toxic to humans and animals. The entire plant, especially its seeds contain powerful diterpenoid alkaloids. In flower essence form it is completely safe. It can be used to inspire courage and confidence, magnetism and charisma and help us express our own leadership qualities through self-expression. It is also a gay love herb associated with the metamorphosis of Hyakinthos and the death of Aias.
