Just added some new reading recommendations to Patreon (public viewing) to go with my class The Devil’s Garden @alchemy_and_ashes this Saturday! Homunculi Smoke is one of my favorite incense formulas. It’s one of my older formulas that kind of fell into obscurity but I’ve brought it back. I made this formula to be an offertory incense for plant spirit familiars, burned in offering when harvesting or used in rituals of dedication and vivification for plant spirit vessels and root fetishes. I picked up two new books today! This one came out with @inner_traditions a month or two before mine did. It is a new edition, an annotated translation of a work by Paul Sédir (Yvon Le Loup) who was an influential part of the French occult revival. The book was originally published on 1902. The book covers some fascinating topics including the esoteric origin of plants, astrological and zodiac correspondences (providing a much more detailed explanation of this than other sources/demonstrating how to make your own determinations, Paracelsus physiology, occult medicine, herbs A-Z and he even discusses the ingredients of the witches’ ointment.
