i dug up my attempts at an Ed+Ling fusion from last year and finally finished them, kinda

he’s super strong and super cocky. and very tall.

note: the black circle in the stomach is Ling’s gem (probly Black Opal or s/t) and the bump on his chest is Ed’s gem (a Gold Zircon), which is always hidden under his shirt.

backstory for how EdLing Fusion happens. Ed and Ling have to defend themselves against Envy, so Ling suggests Fusion to give themselves better chances. it’s very difficult tho - Ed has only ever fused with his “brother”, another Gold Zircon, and they haven’t done it since the Incident that broke their gems and robbed them of most of their powers. so ofc it’s incredibly stressful for him at first, but with desperation and Ling’s support, they finally pull it off.

also: doodles of the boys in their Zircon days. they were underlings of Hohenheim, a high ranking yellow gem, and all 3 were intended to be guards/scouts/something on Earth before they met Trisha, who introduced them to human culture, and eventually they all adopted each other as a weird little family. (until Hohenheim abandoned them)

Something like that? I never properly wrote down notes for this AU, lol...

TFW you fucked up so badly that you lost your gem powers and can’t regenerate your limbs anymore so you need gem tech enhancements

I’m not exactly sure what to do with Alphonse in this AU but I do know he’d look rad as heck regardless
