FOUR YEARS CRAMMED in a dorm with six other boys had been all the sharing Joohwan was willing to do. Since he was a child, he hadn’t been raised around other kids – never had a sibling and his grandparents were obviously too old to have children his own age, so Hwan had a hard time sharing his living space with people as old as he were. Still he endured it, not without complaining about the messiness that came with sharing a single bedroom with other two boys and definitely not without whining about not being able to take his time showering. The moment he’d been allowed to move out of the dorm, Joohwan took that opportunity, getting himself a studio apartment where he could find peace for the first time in years. Unlike what he expected, however, there were still days when he caught himself feeling lonely, too used to being around other people to feel completely comfortable with complete solitude.
Whenever that happened, Joohwan would find reasons to drop by at either the dorm or one of his hyungs’ places. He fished for excuses for the last thing he needed was for them to assume that he missed them, or something in those lines – especially because, due to concert rehearsals, they saw each other everyday. Xuedong was the victim, this time around, and Joohwan was planning on using the excuse of wanting a shirt of his back when he rang the doorbell of his member’s apartment. “ Hyung, ” Joohwan called out, already taking off his jacket. “ It’s me, open the door. ”
