* ੈ✩‧₊˚ up all night; insoo!
hanli’s still not quite sure how she ended up in a busy bar in gangnam, on a saturday night. a friend of hers, another fellow idol, had invited hanli out, promising that they’d have tons of fun, that it was rare to be able to have so many idols in one place at the same time, “you’ve been so busy, go out! have fun!” unsurprisingly, hanli had initially been unwilling to attend but after much convincing and persuading from miji (and hanli knows that it would be a nice, new experience for her to look back on, kind of an awakening to remind her that she wasn’t the same friendless, lonely kid she was years ago). and now, she finds herself in a simple black dress, in a cab, on the way to the location.
by the time she reaches, the bar’s rather packed with people and hanli takes a deep breath as she scans the room, noticing a few rather recognisable faces. she gives her usual professional polite smile, greeting people around her and searching for an empty seat. (hanli can already feel the regret seeping into her bones. what if there isn’t any space? what if she has to stand up awkwardly while everyone else sits down? ah. she should’ve just stayed home.)
but, as usual, hanli has overanalyzed the situation, making a mountain out of a molehill because there is, indeed, an empty space beside a rather cute boy. she remembers seeing his face on the television and on fan posts online before. ah. alien’s rizo. she takes a deep breath - having never been to a gathering as big and unfamiliar as this before, she isn’t quite sure what to do. should she introduce herself or does he already know who she is? do people talk to each other or do they just drink? fuck it, hanli thinks. going out is already a very unhanli-like thing to do, so might as well go big. she turns to the boy beside her, smiling brightly. “hi, i’m hanli. from wish,” she says, hoping she doesn’t sound too stupid.
