Chapter 4 of Laws of Attraction…I’ll stay silent on the events that will happen. The fic is not a jampacked/exciting story and is only something I’m writing on the side, so chapters won’t take long to come out.
That being said, I didn’t expect anyone to read it (so thank you!) and hopefully you won’t be disappointed with the fic now that I’ve prefaced this ha. I’m also going to change my AO3 username too 👍
I get we are in an era where people skip everything in a story, but the readers of LoA are the total opposite - it means a lot to see those people that actually read my fic, read the updates all the way through and comment afterwards to let me know what they enjoyed about the chapter. It is something I'll miss when LoA ends and I'm not sure I'll find this type of community again. Thank you 🩷
I just realised in LoA chapter 2 when she first finds her underwear in Hiromi's slacks, it was red lace ones - omg why did I think it was black ones?? That makes it better that in Chapter 9 they are also red lace, insinuating it was the same ones 😭
My concept of loving all jjk men because i love & understand their individual characters instead of pitting them against each other or shading them for no logical reason
Trying to read any romance book nowadays but there is no slow burn, then going to read fanfic but I can’t find any to suit my pickiness, then going to write my own fic & get writer’s block, and repeat 🔁
A new predicament for me is enjoying an ongoing fic's premise and plot, but then the writer has used AI to write it - on every chapter, at that. Obviously I don't think so at first, because after all, Gen-AI has stolen from human writers.
But when it's every chapter without shame, I am not sure whether to ask the writer straight up if they used AI, to simply continue reading or to just drop it.
It's sad because the plot was intriguing. But for all I know, maybe they used AI to come up with the premise too.
me: Laws of Attraction is only a quick side fic, it won't be perfect
also me: deletes the entire 3k words of chapter 5 and begins rewriting the chapter because I'm so unhappy with it
