What is William and Michael's relationship like in your AU throughout the story? Like with teenage Michael before and after the bite, and when William is Springtrap?

father-son timeline stuff belowwww

Pre-83: Pretty Standard Father-Son relationship—Mike wanted to be an engineer like him and Will was supportive. Healthy sprinkling of teen angst and rebellion from Mike.

Post-83: Relationship became strained—Will never outright blamed Mike for what happened, but definitely struggled in his grief to fully absolve Mike or to help minimize Mike’s trauma. Mike didn’t tell his dad about his night terrors or his getting haunted by David, as he was afraid his father wouldn’t care or wouldn’t believe him. Will took Mike’s stoicism as a lack of remorse. We loooove miscommunication.

Post-Liz’s Death: Will became singularly focused on solving the MCI and “fixing” the animatronics. Mike tried to be “useful” by helping his father, but William kept him at a distance because he feared losing him too. Michael took it as his father not wanting him around. We loooove miscommunication.

Springlock Incident: Michael—having no clue where William had gone off too and having recently been scooped in an attempt to make his father love him and save his sister—assumed his father had skipped town to avoid the investigation. He villainized his father over the next 30 years believing he’d been abandoned, and worked at the restaurants partly to destroy his father’s work (but mostly to save the dead kids, not that Mike would ever admit to being altruistic) William, meanwhile, has 30 years to reflect on every bad parenting decision he made. Oof.

Fazbear Fright’s: When Mike meets Springtrap, he introduces himself as Eggs to avoid getting clocked by the “former employee” who may know him from the 80s. William, likewise, uses the name Springtrap to avoid getting recognized. The two idiots—being incredibly similar in personality—become very good friends without ever realizing who the other is. It isn’t until the two burn the place down that they come clean and realize who they’d been talking to the whole time.

Post-Fazbear Fright’s: They’re relationship is significantly better, though Michael still sees him more as a friend than a father at times and gets upset when William tries to “parent” him.

people with like a REALLY crystal clear and complex personal view of the fnaf timeline that they genuinely believe is true both have me in awe and scare the shit out of me. like what are you over there doing 5d mind chess with old man consequences and the subliminal messages hidden in chipper and sons to extrapolate the true ending of fnaf world as it relates to the cassidy is william afton theory? we’re still trying to decide if this mf is blue or purple

This took about a month to finish! Probably because of all the typing and research and rewriting I did of my own story lmao, along with many new additional mini sprites for the cast!

i love the fact that fnaf has no story. It's pretty much just a series of events that every person Frankensteins together to make a somewhat coherent plot. But since everyone's personal timeline is different, it's like being in multiple fandom's at once if you get what I mean?? Everyone has their own William motive, their own Michael design, their own specific theories and specific timeline of events. And instead of causing arguing, everyone just agrees that the other timeline is equally as cool! A lot of fandoms don't have that. And I think having most of the characters have literally the most basic design really works in it's favor cause all the character designs people are so cool asdfghjkl

currently watching your timeline video and I've gotta ask, where exactly did you get the 1973 date for Chica's Party World? is it on one of the blueprints and I just can't read?? or is that more of a guesstimate.

also wonder what year you think Fredbears was opened, ik you said late 60s early 70s in the video but I'm curious if you have an idea for a more precise date that has no or very little evidence

It's based on it having to be from before Fiona died, and how I think it was probably after Edwin took over MCM since they started working more with Fazbear then, but it could be before. So it's just an educated guess lol

As for Fredbear's, that's the best I've got. I know it would be before Edwin got hired for the Fazbear project, but I don't think we have anything with a more specific date

Alright here is my no evidence all vibes FNAF movie timeline, basically what I think would make the most sense and be most satisfying to me personally. I didn't bother researching anything or even re-watch either movies so 99% of this could probably be disproven at a glance but it was a fun thought experiment for me.

1930s-1940s

Henry and William meet and Freddys is opened

Henry cant know this at this point but William is a serial kidnapper, he revels in the feeling of being more powerful then others and this is the way he chooses to do it

William already has a a very young Michael and Vanessa

1950s-1960s

William seeing the success of Freddys and hating to have to share the profits, tries to open his own pizzeria, circus baby's pizza world. Vanessa is killed by circus baby on opening day and the restaurant is axed

(Instead of dedicated murder bots I think this happening in a genuine accident due to some sort of fundamental failure in the animatronic design would fit better)

1960s

William notices baby acting different and new green eyes, 1st time he has hints of remnant

Vanessa is 4th closeted

Late 1970s

Crying child and Charlie are born

Due to their father's close relationship and being born around the same time they become friends, including the slightly older Vanessa

1980s

Fnaf 2 location is opened

Garrett is probably killed around this time, his soul ending up shattered

A now teenage Michael has picked up on his father's negligence but instead of blaming William he blames Vanessa and cc for being "the favorites" and starts bullying cc, the easier target

Early 1983

Michael out of his jealousy either takes his bullying to far or his aim was to outright kill cc who knows, all that matters is cc ends up dead and his soul ends up in golden Freddy. This event is quietly swept under the rug as it happened in the back room

Little did anyone know Charlie witnessed this event. After Michael leaves she takes his body and runs out and tries her best to get anyone to believe her that "someone stuffed cc into a suit" but everyone takes it as a "tragic accident" and that cc shouldn't have been in the back room at all

Unfortunately this does bring William to give Michael more attention, even if not positive, which was Michael's goal

(Im really taking this evil Michael thing and running with it, making him act more like William more narcissistic not suffering from the guilt he had in game)

Late 1983

William, drunk, and angry at Henry out of his own jealousy, for being worse at robotics then him, having his solo pizzeria go up in flames, his family now being broken well Henrys is still perfect, and knowing that Charlie is the only person that knows what really happened to cc, kills her, hiding her body in the puppets music box. Charlie with her anger of not being believed by any adult who she tried to go to makes her agony lash out at any adult she can reach, using the puppet as a medium.

When Charlie is reported missing, her body being found in the box it is taken as a mechanical failure of the stage, with Charlie falling in the hole the puppet comes out off well in the building after hours, her dad is the co owner after all.

1984ish

William notices the puppet acting strange, being more aggressive to adults and almost freakishly protective of kids. This is the first thing that keys him in on how remnant is created, and how he eventually comes up with the mci

1985

2 simultaneous events happen at the same time

In the fnaf 1 location the mci takes place

At the fnaf 2 location Charlie, as the puppet, kills 5 adults

(I thought it was weird that Vanessa just knew Charlie would harm adults when there really no way to know that she would. The first interaction we see of baby Vanessa and ghost Charlie she puts her to sleep and in the future she already knows that shes dangerous. Shoeing in the dci but with adults is my way to rationalize, this. But to my knowledge there is literally 0 evidence for this LOL)

After this the entirety of fazbear entertainment is shut down

Vanessa is sent to put the puppet to sleep

1990s

Vanessa is used to lure people for remnant in the fnaf 1 location, Michael doing the same in the fnaf 2 location. William is hoping to figure out immortality

(maybe hes promising them immortality too it would explain why Vanessa stayed for so long and why Michael is so obsessed with William)

Michael Sebastian Cassidy - Afton (idk if it goes Cassidy - Afton or Afton - Cassidy, Cassidy was originally his and Elijah’s last names 🌚)

He’s really white because he has that skin thing, it’s where you’re completely white even your hair, I forgot the name someone remind me. I wanted to give representation to that🗣️ ugh his belt is off. Anywayyyyy

October 31st, 1970 - April 7th, 1992

Summery:

Again, kidnapped by William being the twin to Elijah. He wasn’t as much of a bitch as Elijah but he did tease his siblings but felt bad if it went too far. Lowkey another emo💔. Doesn’t agree with his father’s actions and that’s the reason he went on his escapades freeing the children. Hated Elijah after killing C.C. In 1986 he got a girl pregnant and had a two kids with her before he died (she took his sperm and kept it to have more kids in the future, she went insane after his death and had three more kids or something like that)

There isn’t much to him lowk. 🌚

(The FNAF movie is canon but only the first one to me so this is not Michael Afton from the second movie because the second movie was actually shit)
