So like, does it occur to people that Simon is about 500 years old?

I don't really see this brought up very much in the fandom as a whole and maybe it's that not too many people caught the name of the artist he apprenticed under, or that not too many people have checked his wiki (or heck maybe no one really cares?) but Jacopo Robusti (best known as Tintoretto) was an active painter during the Renaissance. He would have been actively painting in the mid-1500s, meaning Simon was likely around his twenties in the mid-1500s. That makes Simon the oldest living mentioned Avatar in the series as far as I know.

When he said he has an absurdly long life, he meant it. The man has more experience than anyone. He brushes immortality. It's no wonder NOTHING is consequential to him. He's been alive ling enough to see a short span of a long history. He's seen how fast life changes.

Its possible that Simon's existence could have clued whatever became Reyner into the powers, but that's just be speculating. So facinating really. Our painty sky boy is ancient. We stan an old ass creative king.
