bon iver exile is a sad lovestory. I see it as a romance filled with regrets and misunderstanding. The lines where bon iver said 'you never gave a warning sign' and taylor counters it with 'i gave so many signs' was heartbreaking for me because most women in a relationship will instead give signs instead of telling their partner the problem. It results in misunderstanding and overflowing emotions. I feel sad for the break up being expressed by the song. It was filled with regrets. Just my thought hahahaha
