Emery: “I swear something is different, why are you glowing like this bitch?”
Janae: “Mhm, go ahead and spit it out. Ya’ll fucked, didn’t you?”
Sage blushed and covered her face before answering: “Nothing gets pass you two, does it?”
Emery: “Girl, details?!” She yelled in excitement, taking Sage’s answer as a solid ‘yes’.
Janae: “Was it good? Was it wack? Was it short? Was he short?” She giggled.
Sage: “Ya’ll are so damn nosy, I will not share that part. Besides Janae, you should know as much as you visit the Red Room.” Emery and Sage both laughed before she continued. “It was good, that’s all you need to know.”
Emery: “Have you been thinking about when it’ll go down again?”
Sage smirked and covered her face again. Emery and Janae let out laughs that sounded more like squeals. The girls continued to discuss all of Sage’s new found womanhood as well as other events that had occurred in their lives. Emery was now an intern at Coach, learning the ins-and-outs of their dress department. Janae was a less frequent visitor of the Red Room, now that Rhys was an employee. She couldn’t enjoy her nights the same watching her best friend’s man grinding on poles. Instead, she began spending time with his best friend, Orlando. This came as a shock to her girls, as they thought for sure no man on Earth would ever give Janae the time of day.
Sage: “How did you two even meet?” She asked very surprised they knew one another. “I was at the student store returning some loaner books from last semester and he just happened to be in front of me in line. He saw that I was carrying more books than him and offered to help.”
Emery: “Cheesy!” She rolled her eyes. “Rude! Anyway, I thought it was sweet. We talked for a bit in line, and after he walked me back to my dorm. I told him to call me and gave him my number. Dude was looking fine, so why not?” Janae laughed.
Sage: “Wow Janae, can’t say I’m surprised.” As she spoke, her phone began to ring. “It’s Rhys.” Emery whispered, loudly, to Janae. Sage gave her friends the middle finger and answered. “Hey baby, what’s up?” Her smile showing from ear to ear. “Yeah that sound’s perfect. How much time do I have? Okay, I’ll be ready. I love you too. Bye.”
Janae: “Love?!!” She stood from her chair. Emery began crack up laughing, almost falling out of her seat. “Bitch, when did love come into play?” Sage shook her head before responding, “You two are way too dramatic sometimes, I swear. Look, I have to go. Rhys’ mother is coming to town and wants to hang out. I will text you hoes later, cool?” She asked giving each friend a hug, and proceeded out of the coffee shop.
Oasis Mexican Cantina, 3:35pm
Rhys and Sage arrived together and were greeted by Hope outside. She gave Rhys a hug, and turned her gaze to Sage.
Hope: “Hello Sage, nice to finally meet you.” Arm stretched forward as to shake hands. “Yes Ms.-” Sage paused, not sure of how to refer to Hope. Rhys never went over this with her. “Just call me Hope.” She smiled, as Sage shook her hand.
Rhys: “Oh… kay… cool!” He awkwardly let out. Happy to see that their initial greeting was over. “Let’s get a table, it’s looking kind of busy in there.”
The trio walked inside and waited twenty minutes before they were seated. It was a newer eating spot in Oasis Springs as the town had zero restaurants previously. Ultimately that was the reason Hope chose this location. The service was quick too, as the waiter was ready to take their order request before they were completely done analyzing their menus. Hope insured she would pay for everything, so Rhys ran with the inch he was given and ordered a tray of Enchiladas y dos Cervezas. Sage stayed modest, only ordering a taco salad along with a lemonade. Hope elected to have the chef’s special, Shrimp Menudo, with a glass of white wine. As their waiter collected their menu’s and promised to return with their beverages, Hope began conversation.
“So, how are you two? Everything alright in Newcrest?” It had been four weeks since their first year of college ended and neither had visited home during their Summer break. “Yeah mother, everything is cool. Just relaxing, taking it easy without stressing over studying.” Hope nodded and looked over at Sage, willing her to speak. “Yeah…break has been good.” Sage stated, somewhat nervous and unsure of what Hope wanted to hear. Rhys placed his hand on her thigh and gave her an assuring look, hoping she would relax and just be herself.
Hope: “I can see that you two really care about one another and I want to make sure you are both being safe in everything that you do. Yes?” She asked, knowing they understood exactly what she was referring to. Rhys thought back to their first time in his dorm room two nights ago. He for sure forgot to strap it up, even though he had a brand new box of condoms right next to his bed. Layne, his step-father, gifted him with the box before he moved to Newcrest.
Sage: “Yes ma’am. I’m on the pill, there was no way my father was going to let me leave his house without it.” She laughed as Hope giggled a little too. Rhys thought to himself, thank Simgod.
Hope: “I know your father, and that definitely sounds like him. Well good, I am much more comfortable with all of this now. So do you two really love each other?” She asked as their waiter placed down drinks on the table. Rhys looked at Sage and smiled. “I do really love Sage. I’m not afraid to admit that. I can’t speak for her though, I know I’m not the easiest boyfriend to date.”
Sage (laughing): “Not by a long shot, Rhys. But no, I have never been in love before to be honest. I’m not sure what that really looks like or what that is. I do know that Rhys means the world to me and that I wouldn’t want things to be any different than what they are now. You really do make me happy baby.” She said, forgetting that they were sitting in front of his mother. Sage instantly got thoughts of his hands between her thighs, lips on her nipples, and had the feels of wanting to dart off to the restroom with him immediately. Rhys, somehow, caught her vibe and licked his lips in response. The two sat, eyes locked on one another, until Hope interrupted.
Hope: “Okay love birds, look our food is here.” She stated, happy something was there to divert Rhys and Sage back to reality. She definitely knew what they had was going to last. Hope had never seen her son look at anyone, or anything the way he did Sage.
Rhys: “I know this is random, mother. But the last time I saw you, was back at home and you shared something with me that we never talked about before. Not because I didn’t want to, but you just chose not to.”
Hope: “I know son, no need to continue. It’s time. You’re a young man now, and you’re starting your life away from home with Sage. I can not hide this any longer.”
Rhys: “I went to Sage’s house two weekends ago, for her dad’s get together. He was there. That piece of shit was there. I wanted to kill him, but she stopped me. I can’t even explain to you how hurt and upset I was mother. I need answers.”
Hope’s eyes began to water. She hated hearing that her son was face to face with Raylon, and how angry that made him. She kept the stories of his biological father inside so that she didn’t have to see her son hurt. “I’m sorry son, this is why I never shared anything with you. You’ve seemed to have figured it out for yourself though.” She went on to tell Rhys, and Sage about Raylon. She shared how they were originally friend’s with benefits, both seeing other people. How they got married but decided to have threesome’s as long as they were both present, but Raylon did not follow their agreement and began seeing women in the house that they shared when Hope was not around. She told her son and Sage how Raylon would physically, emotionally, and verbally abuse her. When she found out she was pregnant, she had already signed the divorce papers and didn’t want to have anything tying her back to Raylon. This is why she chose to tell Raylon that Rhys was not his child, and started a new family with Layne. The entire time Layne believed Rhys was his, and raised Rhys as such until Hope finally told the truth.
Rhys: “Mother, this is too much.” He stated wanting to leave the table before Sage stopped him.
Sage: “Sit down.” She stated firmly, like the time she told him to remain in his dorm the night he got too drunk with Dakota. Rhys listened, as Hope continued.
Hope: “I’m so sorry son. All I wanted to do was protect you from the selfishness of your father, and the bad mistakes by me that gave your father the power to cause so much hectic in my, our lives.”
Rhys: “At least you tried mother. He still never tried, not until it was too late. Fuck that piece of shit!” He grunted angrily as he rushed off to the restroom. Sage’s eyes followed Rhys until he was out of sight, tears slowly building. Hope noticed the emotion on Sage’s face. “I’m sorry Sage, I didn’t want my visit to be a negative experience for either of you.” Sage directed her view back to the table, to Hope. “It’s fine. I don’t think you did this intentionally. I do know that Rhys will never be okay, he wont heal from this until he is able to release this to his father in a healthy way. Do you have any suggestions? I refuse to see him continue to hurt like this.” Hope was impressed with Sage. It was only her first time officially meeting the girl, but she carried herself like a woman. “Yes, I do. Would you like to take this on and help me?” Sage placed her hand on Hope’s, “Absolutely.”
Motherhood has grabbed every second of my attention and I wouldn’t want it any other way, but I still have some SOLID SIMBLR FRIENDS who have checked on me. Thank you 🙏🏾!!

*I’ll be back soon enough, until then, hold it down friends... back under my rock I go.
Rhys surprised Sage by taking her to a live concert; Their first official date together. He knew he had to make it memorable. Just as memorable as giving a lap dance at his job, the Red Room. Money was good for Rhys now. His college tuition was paid off for the remainder of the school year and he had enough stashed away to pay for next year as well. He was still uncomfortable with the idea of being a male dancer, and his mother still didn’t know. Rhys told himself he would stop after he was able to stack one hundred thousand simoleons.
Sage and Rhys took their seats at a table located stage left. Rhys managed to catch a reservation for the night just in time. The woman on the phone told him it was their last available table.
Sage: “Rhys, this is beautiful.”
Rhys: “So are you.” He smiled, looking into her eyes. Sage felt her spirit jump a bit. Something about this man was giving her all the feels, slowly, but she was willing to let him in.
Sage: “You know you didn’t have to do anything like this, right?” She stated, admiring the ambiance of the concert hall.
Rhys: “I know, but I still did. You’re worth it.” He said rubbing his hand on hers. Sage was shocked. He was really putting it on her tonight and she was loving it.
Just then a waiter stopped by and took their drink order. There was no food menu, however he did mention chips and salsa were available. Rhys ordered red wine for he and Sage, as well as the complimentary snack.
Sage: “So what made you choose a concert?” She smiled, very curious as to what his answer would be.
Rhys: “I wanted to do something original, spontaneous as well. How did I do?” He asked stretching out his arms.
Sage: “It’s perfect Rhys.” She smiled, still dumbfounded by his gesture.
The two enjoyed glass after glass of top shelf, aged, and exquisite French red wine. They discussed the near completion of their Freshman year of college, their majors and most difficult classes, as well as their hopes and plans for life after college. All of this while bobbing their heads to smooth jazz before them.
Rhys: “How about we get out of here? I have a part two planned.”
Sage (blushing): “Part two? I can’t take anymore of your chivalry, Rhys.” She giggled.
Rhys stood up and slowly pulled out her chair. Next, he stuck out his arm as to gesture her to hang onto it. “This is just the beginning, beautiful.” He stated as they headed towards the concert hall’s exit.
He called a sUber and the two rode for forty five minutes, driving out of Newcrest. This fair fee has to be over fifty dollars already. Sage told herself. Once the sUber stopped, Rhys walked around to Sage’s door and opened it. Sage exited the car, took Rhys’ arm again, and followed his lead. She could hear the sounds of waves crashing and echoing off one another.
Sage: “Oh my gosh, Rhys.” She stated as they reached their destination. They were at the cliff’s in Windenburg, looking out onto the ocean. The deep blue waters swaying and flowing towards the shore. “It’s beautiful out here tonight. I haven’t been to the cliffs since I was a little girl.” She looked at Rhys, wanting to kiss him, tackle him to the ground, and allow whatever their bodies wanted to do. She managed to regain her thoughts, when Rhys spoke.
Rhys: “Yeah, it does look gorgeous out here tonight. I actually never been up here. I just looked it up on Smoogle.” Sage laughed and proceeded to take a seat with Rhys on the cliff overlooking the ocean.
Sage: “It’s so peaceful out here. My grandpa used to take me and my siblings fishing right over there.” She pointed East, singling out a fishing dock. “Those were the good days.”
Rhys: “Is he still here?”
Sage: “My grandpa? No. He passed away when I was twelve. It was very hard on all of my family.”
Rhys: “I’m sorry to hear that. He’s still with you though, you know?”
Sage (smiling): “Everyday.” She moved closer to Rhys, as he took her into his arms. Everything just felt right in that moment. The scenery, the date, the way Rhys held her close. She was truly enjoying every second with him. That’s when she knew he was the one.
Rhys: “Hey Sage?” He asked releasing his arms from around her body. Sage readjusted herself so that she could face him and make eye contact.
Sage: “Hey Rhys.” She responded. Rhys found it cute, and funny.
Rhys (laughing): “No, for real.” He finished his laugh and spoke again. “I really like you. I’ve liked you since the first day I saw you in Business Communications. You’re smart, talented, caring, gorgeous, fun, friendly, honest, non judgmental, understanding, peaceful, nice, loving, giving.” Sage cut Rhys off, wondering where he was going with all those adjectives.
Sage: “Rhys, where are you going with this?” She asked giggling a little. “I mean, I appreciate the compliments.”
Rhys (smiling): “Right.” He laughed, took Sage’s hands into his, and stood up. “Sage, I want this forever. I know that already, and it doesn’t have to happen overnight. We can take as much time as we need. But Sage, would you please do me the honor of becoming my girlfriend tonight?”
Sage smiled as bright as she did that night in San My. Rhys could never forget the look she made when she was happy. She glowed, as bright as the night sky’s moon. Sage processed Rhys’ words and emotion. He was so raw with her, she loved it and wanted to be sure she understood all that he was giving.
Sage: “Yes Rhys. I would love to be your girlfriend.” Rhys and Sage hugged each other tightly. Wow. She’s my girl. He thought. Damn, my feels are definitely legit. She said to herself.
The two released one another from their hug and locked eyes. Sage looked away from Rhys for a quick second as her butterflies returned again. The kind of butterflies that started at your shoulders and ran all the way down to your toes. She tried to shake them off, but to no avail. Rhys noticed Sage was shying away. He didn’t know why, but he took it as nervousness. He didn’t want her to know that he felt the exact same, so he allowed his body to respond instead. Rhys placed his hands on Sage’s cheeks.
Sage: “Rhys…” She let out, trying to let him know how extremely nervous she was. How she had never kissed a boy before, how she had no idea what she was doing. She didn’t want to ward him away with her lack of knowledge in this situation. Rhys didn’t listen, instead he softly placed his lips onto hers. Got damn his lips are soft. She thought to herself. “Mmm...” She moaned as he lead the way into minutes of passionate kissing. With each second that went by, both of their lips still attached, Sage felt herself falling further and further into Rhys. As if she were sinking from the top of the cliff they stood on, to the waters beneath them. Fuck! I’m going to fall in love with this man. He’s fucking perfect. She told herself.
Rhys removed his lips from hers. Never forcing his tongue into her mouth, although he felt Sage probably wanted him to. He knew she was unsure of herself by how timid she was with him. He didn’t want to scare her by rushing things. He smiled at Sage and took her into his arms again. “We can leave whenever you’re ready.”
Sage: “I’m in no rush Mr. Big Baller.” She stated as they sat on the cliff and continued to take in the tranquil surroundings of the ocean.
Rhys: “What are you up to this weekend?” He didn’t have any plans yet, but was curious if she were free so that he could organize something. “My father is having a get together at my house. He asked me to come. I do not want to go.” She stated rolling her eyes. “Why not? You’re not close with him or something?”
Sage: “Oh, no. Nothing like that. My father and I are too close if you ask me.” She laughed. “It’s just, he has his crew of friends from work that I cannot stand. I really don’t want to go alone.”
Rhys wondered what friends she was talking about. He suddenly remembered his mother told him that his father and Sage’s father were friends. He really hoped Sage wasn’t referring to his father as one of her father’s ‘crew of friends from work’. He didn’t want to risk anything, so he didn’t volunteer. Until… “Would you mind coming with me? I mean, you could meet my parents, if you want.” She smiled.
Dammit. So much for dodging that bullet. He thought. “Sure. Yeah, I’m down.” He forced with a smile. Sage returned the smile and kissed him. “Thank you.” She said looking at his eyes, and then his lips. She wanted to kiss him all night long. Hell, she wanted more than to kiss him but was okay with moving at his pace. After all, she was a virgin and wasn’t sure if Rhys knew, or if he was one as well.

Sage and Rhys spent the night in her dorm room following their evening with Hope. Sage wanted to do all that she could to bring him relaxation after his anger disrupted their dinner. She noticed that he was genuinely a nice and laid back guy, until his biological father Raylon was mentioned. Last night after their time with Hope, Sage invited Rhys back to her dorm and pampered him. She started with a warm lotion shoulder massage as she sat on his back, singing softly to ease his mind. Next she massaged his feet, taking her time with each as she worked her way up to his calves. Finally, she rubbed her hands underneath his shorts until they made a home at his member. Rhys was definitely shocked by this action, but did nothing to stop her. She took as much of him as she could into her mouth and self coached herself on what he liked best. She paid attention to his body movements and grunts as she learned how he wanted her to please him. It didn’t take long before she had Rhys deep inside her throat, adding more saliva to his manhood, emulating the effects of her pussy. She guessed it had only been fifteen minutes before he moaned her name, giving her the clue that he was going to release. Quickly, Sage removed her lips and stroked his hard-on with both hands until he came into her palms. After excusing herself to shower in her dorm shared restrooms, she crawled back into bed with Rhys, who was sound asleep, and held him close.
Now, however, they were at Johnston's Counseling Services. A premier family consoling company in Newcrest. Sage regained control of her thoughts, forcing herself to suppress last night as Mr. Johnston entered the conference room. He was a handsome gentleman, with a five o’clock stubble and piercing grayish-blue eyes. His dirty blonde hair sat gently on his head, nicely combed. Sage caught herself checking him out from head to toe, until Rhys noticed and wrapped his arm around her waist. “Chill out babe.” He whispered in her ear. She smiled at her boyfriend, with a slight embarrassed blush, and refocused on the task at hand.
Mr. Johnston: “Welcome everybody, I thank you for making the commitment to address the issues that effect your family. It is a difficult decision to allow a stranger into your lives and give direction on strategies to assist in better living. Therefore I am truly honored to be that source of cohesion for you all. Let’s begin, shall we?” He asked as he took a seat in his judge styled arm chair.
Across the room, sitting in teams based on opinion so to say, was everyone else. You had Sage, Rhys, and Hope on one couch. Raylon, Aaron, and Kade on another couch. Rhys looked at his father with the same amount of hate and animosity he exhibited in Aaron’s backyard a few weeks prior. Sage kept her hands close to Rhys’ leg as to be ready to relax him with her touch whenever she thought necessary. Initially no one said a word, until Raylon broke the ice.
Raylon: “I’m not sure this is actually going to fix anything, but we can start, I guess.”
Mr. Johnston: “Thank you, Ray.” He responded “I would like us to go around the room, and one by one, share what bothers you the most about someone else in this room.” Sage’s eyes widened, does he want to see a fist fight in here? She thought. “Don’t be shy, this is part of the process, the sooner someone speaks, the better.”
Hope: “I’ll start.” She said standing up and facing the group. “What bothers me the most about Raylon is that he lives his life strictly for himself. Never once considering how his actions affect those around him, particularly his family.” She sat back down. Mr. Johnston proceeded to take a few notes before Sage stood up.
Sage: “What bothers me the most about Rhys is that he cannot enjoy his life because he is still hurting by the pain his father, Raylon, inflicted onto him and his mother.” Mr. Johnston nodded his head in approval, taking a few more notes, as Kade stood up.
Kade: “What bothers me the most about Hope is she thought keeping Rhys a secret from Raylon would be a smarter choice than informing him. In my opinion this was more destructive, ultimately, than the actions of my client.” Kade was Raylon’s personal lawyer. He handled all law binding situations for Raylon. For example, he helped Raylon close on his dispensary purchase, settle his divorce with Hope, and also assisted Raylon in searching for the real paternity test of Rhys. Raylon found out Rhys was his son months before Hope ever disclosed the information to him, all because of Kade.
Mr. Johnston: “Thank you, Kade. We are off to a wonderful start. I appreciate the honesty you all are sharing. Would anyone else like to go?”
Aaron shook his head no. He truly had nothing negative to say about anyone. He loved his daughter, had no problems with Rhys, and was not going to bag on his boy Raylon. Aaron was only in attendance for emotional support for his best friend. That left Rhys, whom everyone in the room gazed at. They knew this session was mostly for him and figured he had a lot to get off his chest. Rhys stood to face his family and peers.
Rhys: “I’ve had a great life, childhood. My mother made sure I was always provided for, taken care of, safe. My step-father, Layne, never disrespected me nor my mother, or my little brother Magnus. I was able to be a kid, and do kid things. But this is very heavy on me. Sage, mother, I know this was your idea. I know you see me hurting and only want what’s best for me, but I don’t want to do anything like this ever again. This will be the first, and last meeting. I’m letting all of you in this room know that.” He paused and looked at Mr. Johnston. Damn, this family was paying me good! He thought before Rhys continued. “Raylon, I don’t believe you intentionally chose to break my mother and cause her to feel divorce and lies about my paternity test were her only options. I also don’t believe you had no parts in providing for me in my youth. Mother, did he give you any support? Child support? Anything?”
Hope stared directly into her son’s eyes, “Yes, son. He did not know about you as his child during the divorce proceedings, but he did insists that alimony be deposited to me monthly.” Rhys turned and looked at Raylon. “As I was saying, I never believed you were that malicious. Thank you for being a man, at least in that aspect. But how come you never came around, once you learned about me? How come you and Kade over here didn’t round up your documents and fight to be apart of my life? Why did you just accept what my mother did?”
Mr. Johnston continued to take notes, noticing that he hadn’t spoke to the group in over five minutes. He did not want to interrupt the organic progressions of Rhys’ release, therefore he choose to stay quiet. Raylon stood to match Rhys’ eye level before his response. “I wasn’t sure, son, I mean Rhys. I wasn’t sure how that would all go. I knew you were raised to believe Layne was your father and I did not want to cause any confusion in your life. It was not going to be good for you, but I always thought about you Rhys.”
Rhys: “Good enough, Mr. Johnston this session is now over. I am fine people, okay?! I don’t want to talk about this anymore, I don’t want anymore of these cheesy sessions. None of that! Got it? Raylon, you are still not my father. His name is Layne, but right now I can say that we can be cool and that I have no hard feelings towards you. I appreciate that you took care of my mother after everything went to shit and for that, I respect you.” He said, sticking out his right hand to give Raylon a handshake.
Raylon shook Rhys’ hand and quickly swiped away a lone tear. “Alright Rhys, thank you sir.”
Mr. Johnston: “Wow, Rhys I am truly impressed. Most families are screaming over the top of one another by now, not hearing a word each other are saying. I have notated everything you all discussed and will keep this in my files for any future meetings. I know you said there will not be any, but you never know Rhys. My door is always open.” Rhys sat back down next to Sage, attempting to ignore what Mr. Johnston was saying and wrapped an arm around her. “Welp, I guess we are done here. Good day everybody.”
Once outside of the counseling office, everyone said bye and proceeded to go their separate ways. No one lived in Newcrest, expect for Sage and Rhys, so traveling was imminent for the parents and their friends.
Hope: “I’m proud of you son. Are you sure you’re going to be okay now?” Rhys nodded his head, “Yeah mother, I’m good.” He replied squeezing Sage’s hand. “Okay, I’m going to hit this road. I have a little drive ahead of me. I’ll give you a text once I make it back.”
Sage: “Please do, and thanks again for spear heading this with me.” She gave Hope a hug. “Definitely Sage, I want to say I’m proud of you too and very happy my son has chosen to make you his lady. Be safe now you two. I’ll see you soon.” Hope responded grabbing Rhys into her arms and giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Rhys and Sage waved Hope off as she drove on towards Willow Creek. They elected to walk from downtown Newcrest to their dorms. It was a thirty five minute walk but they didn’t care. The weather was nice and a stroll was soothing after all that had occurred over the last forty eight hours. Neither of them said a word during the walk, just subtle looks at one another and sweet kisses here and there. Sage was thrilled to hear Rhys say that he was over the hurt from Raylon. She could only hope he meant that, and would prove it with his actions.
