The secret to perfecting your forearm stand is to lose the fear of falling out of it. Flipping over from forearm stand is a beautiful way to enter forearm wheel, so instead of thinking of it as a fall, imagine it as just a transition into another pose. We'll be spending some time in our forearm stand and wheel in all of my classes today and this weekend (as well as my workshop) listed below. So get excited for some heart opening fun! Forearm Wheel is not only an invigorating backbend but also phenomenal chest opener as well. Every time I come into this pose, most easily entered from traditional wheel or by falling back from head or forearm stand, I feel rejuvenated. We'll be bending, lengthening, and strengthening in all of my classes today and tomorrow morning so that we can end 2015 on a high note. Times and studios listed below. Learning how to safely fall out of inversions gives you more confidence to try them away from the wall. Once I realized that moving from dolphin pose to forearm wheel wasn't going to make my torso rip open, I was able to practice my forearm stand in the middle of the room and finally achieve the pose. Not only that, but it's a pretty fun and fancy way to backbend. We'll be working through our fears and learning fun transitions in all my classes today and this weekend, but especially in my workshop on Saturday (just 2 spots left). See you soon!
