The great Roger Federer strokes a sublime forehand against his arch adversary, the indomitable Raphael Nadal. This after Fed staved off the perils of break point. 3-3, deuce, first set in the 2007 Masters semifinal. He then puts away a nifty forehand volley to secure the game. Poetry.
2007 Wimbledon final here. On his 2nd match point, Federer produces two explosive forehands and polishes off an overhead smash to vanquish the great Nadal, winning his fifth consecutive crown at the All England Club in the process. Only the eternal Swede Björn Borg has managed that feat in the modern era. Mr. Federer captured his 11th major championship here; he has gone on to attain 20, the most in history.
