Day 19.

Day 1: What event do you do?

Day 3: Write about your most embarrassing moment at a tournament. Day 4: Describe your team. Day 5: Write about your camp experiences. Day 6: Who are your best forensic friends? Day 7: Have you or would date someone in forensics? Day 8: Write about your coach. Day 9: What other type of forensics event would you do? Day 10: Write about your best event ever. Day 11: Write about your worst judge experience. Day 12: Have you gotten to finals? If you did, write about the experience. Day 13: Write about your novice year.

My novice year… lots of learning. Lots of practice rounds so that I would be a better debater. Got my ass kicked the first time I went into circuit. But I am a hard worker, it’s all or nothing for me. So after that tourney I got a lot better and ever since I am a pretty BA debater. I think my novice year pretty much defined me as a Policy Debater. After that, there was no going back. Novice Year was so freaking awesome, I learned so much :) Basically, the introduction of what would be my life for the rest of my high school career.

Day 15: What is the weirdest thing someone wore to a tournament?

The weirdest thing I ever saw someone run to a tournament was either when at UCLA’s TOC an LDer was dressed as a female, but looked really good in it OR when I was at Logan and then some guy in policy(I never hit him ]: ) was dressed up as Lady Gaga and was trying to claim in all of his rounds that she solves for Nuclear War :D Day 16: What are your pre-round traditions?

Pre round trads! Hmm, rapping to Emminem’s roast song on Mariah Carey. Saying, on the way to the round, “barack barack barack obama, barack barack barack obama.” or “unique new york, unique new york, unique new york.” Doing vocal warm ups my partner, who’s in Chamber choir, taught me to prevent voice crackage during speaking. Pen drilling and/or spreadrilling my 1AC- memorized bitches. And finally, pumping my partner up, because she doesn’t debate at her highest potential unless feeling hostile ;) Day 17: Would you choose tournaments or a real life on the weekends?

Tournaments are my real life. the fuh.

Day 18: Write about what you do to prep for tournaments.

I feel like the answer is in the question… Regardless I “prep” by making frontlines to affirmatives I hit the previous tournament. Make generic frontlines. Usually, the whole team puts together a case list and then we do frontlines from there. Make changes to my 1AC. Pen and speed drills. Pre flow my case? Print new evd.? Update my politics and spending disads. Idunno, I think it’s in the “prep out”

Day 19: Write about national tournaments.
