As we grow older, we expect that a lot of things will change in our lives. Many won't be the same as they were before. Especially, when it's about losing our love ones. This change is indeed hard to cope up. Sometimes, it happens in an unexpected manner and sometimes, there are signs that is shown to us that it will happen soon. The feeling can be really devastating, painful, and destructive.
As time goes by, we, humans, build strong connections to people that becomes an intimate relationship. Sentimental and valuable memories are being created with that person whom we share our love, thoughts and respect. And when we've come to the point where we'll be losing that person, we cry in pain, knowing that the memories we've done together will just stay in the past, where they belong, never to be brought back again. At the same time, reminiscing these memories puts us in a feeling where we really miss it and asks if we could still go back to those days.
Sadly, we can't. There is a time for everything. A beginning and an end is destined for each and everyone of us here on earth. Life is as short as it is. One day, we were born as a sweet little child. The next day, we will have to take a rest after a very tiring run of living.
While we are still alive, let's cherish every moment we have with the person we love. Shower them with affection because we may never know when the time will come that they shall have a peaceful rest too.
As for those who already lost a loved one, it is normal. Even though they left us here on the physical world, it doesn't mean that they're completely gone. The memories we've created with them will stay in the depths of our hearts and mind which will remind us that even though we can't see, hear, or touch them anymore, we can still feel their loving embrace and they will still be there besides us every day.
It is also normal to be sad for a while. But as soon as this pass, acceptance is also a must. We may be physically apart, but we'll always be internally and emotionally connected.
