We have some sad news to share. Our very sweet Junie B. Jones was helped into peace today. It makes us so sad to have had to make this choice. Sweet Junie was in renal failure. Her dementia was worsening and she no longer wanted to eat. On top of that her pre- glaucoma had turned into glaucoma in one eye. It was extremely painful and swollen. She was already on special eyedrops and pain meds. Junie would not have withstanded surgery and was not a candidate for it. Her dementia had heightened significantly that her quality of life was diminished. The only option left was compassion and we love her enough to let her go. We never allow suffering. We sure love/loved this peanut. Junie was such a lovable soul and so easy going. She loved to snuggle and be held. Last night she couldn't sleep and was crying so we snuggled her all night until she rested. She left this world knowing just how special she was, that is something we could guarantee her. She was surrounded by Valerie, Molly, Dr. A, Anna, and a few of her siblings. She was held as she passed and qe whisperered our love until her last breath. Junie was so incredibly sweet. She had a happy heart and soul. She loved snuggling, food, and just being with you. She was content and carefree. Her former owner had passed away and she had been left homeless. We had the honor of caring for her. I know Junie has been reunited with her Dad and many of her siblings that have passed on. 💗💔💗 We believe this bundle of love is healed, free of pain, and clear minded.
