Later that night, just like his brothers Lazlo got curious about aliens
(hehe see what I did there?)
Laughing of your brother's traumatic experience = Peak sibling energy
Usually I get Lazlo abducted and nothing happens but this time I heard chimes so I decided to check the father and....

Before I get to the review of Flour Babies, how in the world did I not know that the movie Mrs. Doubtfire was based on a story called “Madame Doubtfire”? That’s such a hilariously awesome Robin Williams movie. Now I need to read the book too.
Onto this story though. Each of the boys in Room 8 aren’t the shining examples of students in their school. And, for their science experiment are given a six pound sack of flour. They’re supposed to care for it as if it is a baby. Some do. Some most definitely do not.
Now, I have to say, I knew about this project, but, honestly, only from TV. I don’t know why, but, none of us in any of my elementary, middle, or high school classes ever had to do this, boys or girls. At one point we did have mealworms (I think) that we cared for, but that was more a science thing I think.
Still, it was a fun read. Simon is a character that just shines off the page, and has such growth too. One of my favorite young YA books (7th/8th Grade-ish I would think) I’ve read this year.

So I’m having a baby sometime between now and nine days from now!!
With #3, the “just in case” induction was scheduled, because I always had very late babies that needed a little push to get going, and then she came something like five days early with absolutely no warning.
So... this baby. Any. time. between now and nine days from now.
I should’ve gone to bed a half hour ago, but am understandably somewhat in planning/freak out overdrive and haven’t quite been able to stop.
