The ultimate fix-it/crossover, brought to you by my oldest daughter!
(I let her watch 'Frankenstein' with me over break and girlfriend is now OBSESSED. Elizabeth is the new Wednesday Addams according to her, lol).
Oldest loves the Creature. Loves Elizabeth.
So, when I showed her 'Monster High' crossover art where Frankie Stein is the Creature's daughter, Oldest went NUTS.
"Momma, it makes sense! They look alike! Same skin! Same nose! She has dark chunks in her hair! She's SO his daughter! WE NEED TO MAKE THIS!"
And Elizabeth? Well, she's not dying. Don't know how, but she manages to be resurrected like the Creature, they get married, and somehow, Frankie Stein appears.
So, this is what my daughter and I came up with. Elizabeth's dress is based off of an earwig, one of the insects best known for their maternal devotion to their young.
The Creature/Adam, naturally needed to have both Elizabeth's green motif and that leaf somewhere. Sweet Frankie, in addition to wearing a little girl version of her Monster High duds, has both coral earrings like her mother and is holding a little mouse toy, in reference to her dad's first friends :).
The mad Professor Moriarty and his reluctant assistant John Watson have reanimated the dead – and the results are beautiful. At least John thinks so. When Moriarty rejects his creation, John disappears with the creature to protect it, sealing their fates together. (Loosely inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein)
