The episode is gorgeous, and its undeniable that the flowers in the episode also represent the feelings and emotions of the characters on screen. Too bad I don’t know anything about flowers so I can’t write an essay about what each means to each character (if someone out there can, i will love you forever hahaha jk)

Nicol Becomes Engaged to Fray Randall

Ginger Tucker and Fray Randall visit Katarina at the Ministry to ask for her help. Marquis Randall, Fray’s father, arranged for her to be married to another member of Prince Geoffrey’s faction after she graduates. The man that Fray will be forced to marry is old enough to be Fray’s father and there are sketchy rumors about what happened to his previous wives.

Katarina takes them to Nicol because she believes that he might know of a solution. Nicol explains explains that the only way to keep Fray from being forced to marry that man is for her to become engaged to someone better.

After some thinking, Nicol offers to become Fray’s temporary fiancé until they can find a permanent solution. Fray accepts after thinking about it for a bit.

Marquis Randall is convinced to cancel the previous engagement as the son of the Prime Minister who could become Prime Minister himself is a much better choice, after all.

To make sure the engagement is convincing, Nicol and Fray begin spending a lot of time together. They find out that they have a lot of things in common and become closer, eventually developing feelings for each other.

Unfortunately, Nicol and Fray think that their feelings are not reciprocated because this was meant to be a temporary engagement.

Their friends realize what it’s happening so they make plans to help them confess their feelings, which is easier said than done.

the randall sisters. I haven't seen many fanarts from them, so here it is:

Its nice to see a Nicol centric episode today, as his internal debate on persuing Katarina is somewhat wholesome.
