Geordo's POV
Marquis Randall has approached Geordo.
There was a rumor about Marquis being irritated because neither Jeffrey nor Susanna would listen to him.
Marquis Randall approached Geordo, and they casually talked. After that, there was a rumor about Katarina enjoying her work at the Ministry and having no intention of marrying Geordo.
Marquis Randall has arranged to replace all of Geordo’s servants with his henchmen.
All of his current servants have been recommended by Marquis Randall, and they keep following him around.
Geordo is so annoyed by them that he is pondering a way to remove Marquis Randall.
Jeffrey visits Geordo in the middle of the night.
Geordo senses someone sneaking into his room and stands ready to deal with him.
The intruder ends up being Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: “Good evening, my dear little brother!… But why are you clenching your fist?”
Geordo: “I was thinking of eliminating the suspicious person who was intruding into my room in the middle of the night.”
Jeffrey: “No, no, look more closely, little bro. I am your big bro that you love so much. I am not a suspicious person.”
Geordo: “Well, I don’t have a ‘big bro that I love so much.’”
Jeffrey: “What a terrible thing to say, little bro. Big Bro is crying, you know?”
Geordo: “…Can you please get out?”
Jeffrey would like Geordo to wait before he deals with Marquis Randall.
Jeffrey apologizes to Geordo for Marquis Randall bothering him. He guesses that Geordo probably wants to remove the Marquis by now, but he would like him to wait.

Geordo realizes why Jeffrey draws all the dubious persons in his faction.
Geordo guesses that Jeffrey must have no intention of taking the throne, since he is gathering criminals in his faction.
Jeffrey confirms it, since he only wants the people he cares about to live happily. Despite his joking tone, Geordo can tell that Jeffrey is sincere.
Jeffrey explains that he drew all the bad guys in his faction so that they wouldn’t harm Geordo or his other brothers.
Geordo feels embarrassed but happy(?) to have been protected by Jeffrey all this time.
Jeffrey thinks there is a mastermind behind Marquis Randall.
Jeffrey doesn’t think Marquis Randall is smart enough to prevent the discovery of any proof incriminating him, so he suspects that he is backed up by someone very clever.
Jeffrey suspects that this person helped the Dieke Family research dark magic and then continued the research elsewhere when the Dieke family’s crimes got exposed. They are also probably the one using Sarah.
Geordo is impressed by Jeffrey’s information-gathering skills.
Jeffrey also suspects that the person is a high-ranking noble who was involved in the succession struggle. It could be a duke, a marquis… or a royal.
Jeffrey explains to Geordo that they are not the only royals in Sorcier.
Aside from their family, the royals who are still in Sorcier are the previous queen, their young uncle and the royals who committed minor or no crimes.
The royals who committed minor crimes are watched.
The royals who did not commit any crime gave up their royal status, changed their names and faces, and continued with their lives. They are not watched.
Innocent royals are probably not suspicious, but they may have kept some wounds from the succession struggle.
Geordo agrees to collaborate with Jeffrey.
Geordo now understands why Jeffrey wants to let Marquis Randall move freely. It is for getting information about the one manipulating him.
Jeffrey: ”As expected of my little brother, you understand things fast! You’re a genius!”
Geordo accepts, but he wants to know how long he must endure it since this constant watch prevents him from seeing Katarina.
Jeffrey tells Geordo that the mastermind is probably targeting Katarina.
Jeffrey tells Geordo that the mastermind probably knows about Katarina’s dark magic. And if Marquis Randall learns about it, he might try to remove her.
Geordo loses his composure, so Jeffrey scolds him. He must remain calm, especially when there are risks, or else he will make blunders.
Jeffrey tells Geordo that because Katarina has dark magic, a dark familiar and the Dark Covenant, her existence has become exceptional. Even if Katarina herself is wary of her dark magic, she can become a fearful weapon if she obeys or is tricked by someone.
Jeffrey: “Geordo, I understand that no one is more precious to you than Lady Katarina. I am also fond of her myself. That’s why I would like her to live in happiness. However, if she ever falls into the hands of a malicious person, gets engulfed by darkness and turns into a different person, then I can’t possibly leave the matter alone.”
Geordo must remain calm if he wants to avoid this scenario.
Jeffrey thinks the mastermind is probably watching Katarina discreetly without causing major incidents. And to fish him out, they need information.
Geordo is determined to protect Katarina.
Geordo decides to leave Marquis Randall alone and only eliminate the mastermind.
He accepts to endure being watched by Marquis Randall’s henchmen for Katarina’s sake.
Jeffrey tells him how they will communicate from now on and leaves.
Geordo secretly uses his former servants to sneak things in and out.
While being spied on, Geordo uses his former servants to investigate things for him secretly, bring him things and protect him.
He has taught his former servants codes so they could bring him things without raising suspicions.
A former servant brings him an envelope containing “a report about the situation in the city”. It is the code for “Katarina related”. Geordo politely asks everyone to leave the room.
Geordo receives Katarina’s letter.
It is the letter where Katarina asks for information about Frey. It seems like Katarina has finally realized Frey’s situation.
Geordo wishes he could run to Katarina and help her, but he can’t.
He writes all the information he has about Frey in a letter, then asks his servant to give it to Alan. Alan will probably go to Katarina since he secretly loves her.
Geordo feels jealous of Alan for being able to see Katarina, but he puts a lid on his jealousy since it is an emergency.
Katarina’s POV
Alan explains Geordo’s situation.
Alan explains that Geordo can’t move freely because of Marquis Randall’s henchmen. That’s why he has entrusted a letter to him.
Everyone is surprised that Geordo didn’t get rid of these people.
Alan explains that there are circumstances.
Katarina is worried about these circumstances that can tie Geordo down. She realizes that it is impressive that he has always been able to run to her help until now.
Geordo’s information about Frey.
Before enrolling at the academy, Frey had countless fiancés whose engagements were canceled by Marquis Randall once they were not useful anymore.
Frey also had countless marriage interviews, which bore no results since none of the other parties were useful to Marquis Randall.
Frey was dark and emotionless before enrolling at the academy, then changed afterward.
She never returned home to prevent her father from noticing her change.
She kept going to the marriage interviews decided by her father, but during them, she always behaved like she intended to refuse the engagement.
She is close to Ginger Tucker.
She was called home recently for family reasons and wasn’t spotted out of her home ever since.
Katarina is amazed that Geordo’s information includes all the information they have gathered.
Geordo’s information seems to confirm that Marquis Randall might hold Frey captive.
Alan talks about Marquis Randall.
Marquis Randall is very elitist and flatters the royals. He is very harsh with people he considers as enemies.
He is hostile to Ian’s faction and will ignore everyone except Ian and the Berg family.
He has no magic and desperately tries to hide it since he is part of a group that considers that high-ranking nobles must have magic.
He desperately wanted to have children with magic. He forced a count’s daughter with high magic power into marriage and had Susanna with her. He was happy when it turned out that she had powerful magic.
He became obsessed with making more children with powerful magic. His wife couldn’t have any more children, so he had countless concubines and lovers with whom he had countless children. Among his children, only Susanna and Frey have powerful magic, some have weak magic, and most have no magic.
Marquis Randall wants to be part of the royal family, so he is aiming at Geordo for insurance. He can’t offer a daughter without magic to a prince, so Frey is the only one he can use. This is why he is forcing her even though she opposes him.
How to rescue Frey?

It is not Raphael because Katarina doesn’t want to drag him into this. She doesn’t want to put him into serious trouble for someone he doesn’t know. This case might also make him recall bad memories.
Katarina asks Raphael how to contact Larna.
Katarina requests a day off from Raphael and asks him how to contact Larna.
Raphael replies that Larna will return to the office later, so Katarina only needs to wait for her.
Raphael probably knows that something is wrong but won’t pry. He reminds Katarina to rely on him before she puts herself in danger.
Katarina asks Larna for help.
Sora doesn’t think Larna is so kind that she would make an enemy out of a high-ranking noble to save a stranger.
Larna is back and asks Katarina what she wants to talk about.
Katarina tells Larna that she wants to save Frey, her junior, whom she suspects is held captive at her family home. She tells her all she has discussed with the others before.
She asks Larna if she can help them and lend them some useful magic tools.
Larna accepts.
Larna still has some work to do, so she asks Katarina to send her any document related to the case so that she can think of a plan and what magic tools to use. Katarina will send her Geordo’s letter.
Before she leaves, Larna asks Katarina if she can talk to her alone.
Larna asks Katarina why she came to her for help.
Katarina simply replies that she had the feeling she would want to help.
Larna presses her for a clearer answer, so Katarina tells her the truth. She knows that she is Susanna, and she has thought that she would probably want to save her sister.
Katarina has known for a while that Larna was Susanna.
Katarina has been interacting with Larna for a long time now, so she ended up realizing it.
Larna confirms that she is Susanna. But she can’t believe that Katarina has noticed it. She asks her how she did. After all, she has changed her impression and appearance, and she is even using a magic tool.
Katarina simply replies that her special skill is to recognize the people close to her. Though, she can only do it with people close to her. She forgets strangers’ faces no matter how many times she sees them. Larna laughs at how ridiculous this skill is.
Katarina confirms that Larna is willing to go against her father.
Larna says it is no problem because she has always considered him her archenemy.
Listening to Larna talk about her father, Katarina realizes that the rumors are not only true, but also an understatement of the relationship between Larna and Marquis Randall.
Katarina announces to everyone that Larna has agreed to help rescue Frey.
Everyone is impressed and asks her how she convinced her. Katarina says that she can’t tell.
Everyone is psyched since Larna is on board.
Everyone discusses the plan to rescue Frey.
Before rescuing Frey, they need to confirm whether she really is held captive at home, and if she is, where exactly.
Maria suggests using Alexander to locate her since Frey has powerful magic.
Ginger can think of an item Frey holds dear, but it is in her dorm room.
Katarina would like to fetch it right away, but Keith stops her. He reminds her that they must move carefully, or else Marquis Randall might find them out. They must confirm first that none of Marquis Randall’s henchmen are watching the room. Keith asks Sora to do it since it is his specialty. Sora accepts.
The plan is 1) to make sure no one is watching Frey’s dorm room, 2) to fetch Alexander, 3) to retrieve Frey’s precious item, 4) to make Alexander sniff it to localize Frey 5) to rescue Frey. They have a clear plan.
Katarina suddenly collapses.
Keith puts his hand on Katarina’s forehead and confirms that she has a fever. He suspects that her fever must be caused by her thinking too hard, like when she was little.
Katarina falls asleep. Before getting unconscious, she feels enveloped by something warm but not soft, and she hears the relaxing sound of someone’s heartbeats.
Fortune Lover 2 Dream
Frey is the rival character in Geordo’s route. FL2!Frey is like how Frey used to be before she enrolled at the academy.
Ginger is the rival character in Keith’s route. She fell for him after Keith was the first to treat her like a girl and be kind to her.
In FL2, Frey kidnaps Maria and locks her in the basement of her manor. No one will notice she is there, even if she makes a racket. Frey used to be locked in this basement whenever she couldn’t meet her father's expectations.
Katarina wakes up in the infirmary.
Everyone feels relieved.
Keith princess carried her into the infirmary right after she collapsed. He looked magnificent when he did.
Keith was really worried when Katarina collapsed. Katarina thinks it must be because she often had this kind of fever when she was little.
They will stop here and return home. Keith leaves the room to make preparations for their carriage.
Katarina confirms Ginger’s feelings.
Katarina wonders if Ginger is in love with Keith in reality, like she is in the game.
She would feel bad for Ginger if she really were in love with him since Keith is waiting for her answer to his confession.
Katarina asks Ginger if there is a boy she admires. She explains that while unconscious, she dreamt that Ginger admired a boy.
Ginger clearly tells her that there isn’t any boy that she admires. She mutters that there is a girl, though.
Katarina feels relieved but worries that Ginger might be into playboys. She makes Ginger promise to tell her if she ever falls in love so that she can gauge the boy. Ginger accepts and tells Katarina that she will need to stay by her side until then.
Katarina takes Ginger into a hug. Keith pulls Katarina away from Ginger and drags her to their carriage.
Katarina and Keith go back home.
Keith asks Katarina to stop seducing people here and there. “What will we do if there are any more members?” Katarina doesn’t understand what Keith means. She thinks that he might be tired from working too much.
Keith suggests that Katarina sleeps and invites her to lean on his shoulder. Katarina takes him up on his word. Katarina sees that Keith’s shoulder has become sturdy compared to when they were little.
Keith’s POV
Keith doesn’t know if he must feel happy to have Katarina’s absolute trust, or sad that Katarina isn’t conscious of him as a man.
Keith can’t help feeling worried about Katarina’s fever.
Katarina often had this kind of fever when she was little.
Whenever she did, Keith wanted to stay by her side, as she did to him whenever he had nightmares, but she always told him that he didn’t need to.
However, Keith would secretly come to check up on her anyway. When he did, he would see Katarina with a tear-stained face, having nightmares and calling names that he didn’t recognize. He investigated the names, but no one knew about them.
Keith is waiting for Katarina to tell him her secret.
From this, he realized that Katarina was hiding a sad secret from him.
He has been waiting for the day when she would tell him, but after 10 years, she still hasn’t, and he doesn’t know if she ever will.
Keith is scared that Katarina might disappear one day.
As Katarina keeps putting herself in danger when it comes to the people she cares about, Keith is scared that she might end up disappearing one day.
Keith wishes that Katarina would rely on him. He is not a weak child anymore.
Keith feels tempted by Katarina.
Looking at Katarina’s hair and lips and smelling her scent, Keith can’t help feeling tempted. Ever since she told him that his confession made her happy, he has had a hard time controlling himself.
Then Geordo’s image crosses his mind, asking him, “What are you doing to my fiancée while I am in trouble?”. This stops Keith, who quickly tries to shake off Geordo’s image from his mind.
Keith just strokes Katarina’s hair. When he does, Katarina leans even more on him because of the ticklish feeling, which entices him again and makes Geordo appear in his mind again.
Geordo’s image kept appearing in his mind again and again until they arrived at Claes Manor.
Katarina’s POV
Mental Meeting
There should be no problem on Ginger’s side since she didn’t fall for Keith.
Frey might be held captive in the basement shown in the game since Marquis Randall seems to use this room to lock people up.

Luigi has made a formal request to the Ministry to assign a bodyguard to Katarina while she is working.
Sora has been chosen because he is competent, works in the same department as her, and is in the know regarding her dark magic activities.
Sora tells Katarina that she is lucky to have such a good father.
Luigi has always respected Katarina’s wishes despite what others said.
He allowed her to work at the Ministry so that she wouldn’t marry Geordo right away, and he assigned her bodyguards instead of making her stop working.
Katarina feels like she is blessed with her family.
Laura and Nix learn that Sora has become Katarina’s bodyguard.
Since Laura and Nix will resume their mission from yesterday and Sora will work as her bodyguard, Katarina is worried that their department might be understaffed.
Laura and Nix were not aware that Sora had become her bodyguard. Katarina is troubled when they ask why since she is not sure that she can tell them the truth.
Looking at Katarina’s troubled face, Laura tells her that she doesn’t need to tell them if she can’t. Laura and Nix both ask her to be careful.
Katarina ponders about the danger looming on her.
Based on Laura and Nix’s serious reactions, Katarina wonders if it is common for ministry employees to be assigned bodyguards. Sora replies that it is not common as far as he is concerned.
Katarina realizes that despite being in the safest place in the safest country of the world, there can still be dangerous people around. As proven by the succession struggle where royals killed each other in the royal palace itself.
She wonders how dangerous Marquis Randall can be if Luigi considers him a threat.
She makes up her mind to be careful for the sake of the people who care for her.
Katarina and Sora head to the special room where Katarina and Maria work on deciphering their covenants, then meet Cyrus.
Cyrus wants to talk to Katarina.
Cyrus wants to confirm something with Katarina. He has been investigating whether Frey Randall and Ginger Tucker can join the Ministry. There should be no problem with Ginger, but Frey can’t because she is “a candidate to become Prince Geordo’s fiancée”.
Katarina is shocked and confused. She hasn't heard anything about it despite seeing both Geordo and Frey recently.
Cyrus is surprised that she didn’t know about this. Katarina sadly says that gathering information is not her forte.
As Katarina seems deeply shaken, Cyrus changes the topic and asks why Sora is here. Sora explains that he now works as Katarina’s bodyguard, as per Duke Claes’s request.
Cyrus is confused over Katarina suddenly getting a bodyguard. Katarina gives a vague explanation, and Cyrus doesn’t pry further.
Cyrus mutters, “What in the world is Marquis Randall thinking…?”. Hearing this, Katarina sharply asks Cyrus if he has a problem with Marquis Randall too. Cyrus is confused and asks Katarina to explain herself. Katarina comes clean and explains that Sora has been hired to protect her from Marquis Randall.
Cyrus understands the situation, but he was actually talking about the issue of Frey Randall being Geordo’s fiancée candidate.
Katarina shockingly realizes that Frey is actually Marquis Randall’s daughter.
Marquis Randall causing trouble to the Claes family and Frey Randall announcing that she is Geordo’s fiancée candidate are probably related.
Katarina wants to confirm things with Frey
Katarina asks Cyrus permission to see Frey at the Academy of Magic.
Cyrus can’t allow her to meet someone related to the family who supposedly wants to harm her.
Maria suggests that she goes instead since she is not related to this case.
Cyrus will accompany Maria to ensure her safety.
Katarina talks to Sora about her second biggest fear.
Sora is surprised that Katarina let Maria go in her stead. He was convinced that she would insist on going herself.
Katarina wonders if she looks so unreasonable to him. Sora replies that Katarina tends to lose herself when it comes to the people dear to her.
Sora looks sincerely concerned, so Katarina decides to tell him about the second thing she fears the most: suddenly parting from the one she loves and being unable to see or talk to them anymore.
Katarina is always eager to help the ones precious to her because she doesn’t want to lose them.
Katarina guesses that her fear must come from her sudden death in her past life. She regrets that she can’t see her family or friends anymore. She realized this fear after realizing that she was terrified of falling in love.
Sora is surprised to learn that Katarina has lost people dear to her, but he understands the feeling because he has also lost someone precious to him.
Katarina explains that she treasures the people precious to her because of this fear, but it would come to nothing if she caused trouble to them, like how she caused trouble to Sora in Ocean Port Town.
Sora gently says that he doesn’t mind her causing him a little trouble. Even so, Katarina is determined to look out for herself.
Frey is absent from school.
Maria and Cyrus are back, but they haven't found Frey. She seems to be absent from school for family reasons.
They have brought Ginger instead since she has something that she wants to tell Katarina.
Ginger is hesitant to talk in front of everyone, so Katarina asks everyone to get out.
Ginger talks to Katarina (Ginger’s family circumstances).
Frey talked to Ginger about her family when Ginger was annoyed over receiving a letter from her father.
Ginger is the daughter Baron Tucker had with a servant he slept with.
She was initially raised at her mother’s home, but when her mother died, she was brought to the baron’s house. She lived apart from the main residence.
The baron completely ignored her and she was raised by servants.
The baron took an interest in her when she awakened her magic. She was then brought to the main residence, and his legal wife and children were jealous of her.
Katarina feels sorry for her, but Ginger doesn’t think it was that bad: she could live freely, and the servants that took care of her really cared about her. After all, they weren’t paid for this.
Ginger talks to Katarina (Frey’s family circumstances).

Ever since she was a child, Frey has been told that she only lived to serve as a tool for Marquis Randall. She spent all her time acquiring skills to be useful to him, and whenever she made a mistake, he would violently beat her.
Hearing this, Katarina remembers how somber and resigned Frey looked the first time she met her. She also recalls their conversation back then, what she told her and how she brightened up afterwards. Now that she understands what Frey went through, Katarina feels outraged.
Katarina tells Ginger that Frey is calling herself Geordo’s fiancee candidate. Ginger is shocked because this does not make any sense. Frey wants to work at the Ministry and would never dare steal the fiancé of her dearest Katarina. They both agree that she has probably been forced into this.
Katarina is determined to save Frey.
Katarina gets permission to leave work early to investigate Frey’s situation.
Katarina contacts all her friends to gather information about Frey.

Mary is the first to arrive. She has booked a room in the Ministry to discuss the issue with ease.
Mary has heard the rumor about Frey Randall calling herself Geordo’s fiancée candidate, but Frey has never said it herself. It is something Marquis Randall is spreading.
According to Mary, Marquis Randall claims that Katarina has no intention of marrying Geordo since she joined the ministry to avoid marrying him. He also claims that Katarina is a talented employee who enjoys her work at the Ministry, so she would rather keep working there. As a result, he suggests that Geordo marry his daughter instead.
Katarina can’t deny the claim because it is mostly true.
Katarina remembers what her father said about her possibly losing the one she loves before she realizes her feelings.
Mary adds that Marquis Randall also claims that Frey can’t make the declaration herself because she is busy with student council work and her studies. Frey is not at the academy, so she might be held captive at home.
Katarina wants to save Frey right away, but Mary convinces her that it would be pointless because they would just be politely sent away. Katarina can’t calm down when imagining Frey’s ordeal. Mary tells her that Marquis Randall can’t harm her if he wants to set her up as Geordo’s fiancée. Katarina calms down and blames herself for rushing to action again.
Frey used to be called “The Doll Princess” before she enrolled at the academy, because her eyes showed no emotions and her smiles were artificial. Mary is impressed that such a person could stand up to Marquis Randall.
Mary considers Marquis Randall as someone who labels people as “can use” / “can’t use”. During the only time she interacted with him, she had the unpleasant feeling that he was appraising her.
Katarina discusses Frey’s situation with her friends (+ Keith + Sophia)
Keith and Sophia arrive.
Keith was worried about Katarina possibly running wildly, so he preferred coming as soon as possible rather than waiting at home. Katarina reassures him by telling him that Mary stopped her before it came to that. Keith feels relieved and tells her that she has grown up. Keith’s words and gaze make Katarina want to call him “Mom”.
Sophia came as fast as she could, but Nicol didn’t get the message because he was at work.
Keith and Sophia haven't brought any new information compared to what Mary has gathered.
Keith knew about the rumor about Frey, but he didn’t tell Katarina because he was afraid that she would run wildly while the info was not confirmed. Katarina pleads guilty. Mary still thinks that Keith should have told her because Katarina was shaken when she learned about it. Keith apologizes to Katarina.
Mary and Keith ponder Marquis Randall’s motive. Marquis Randall probably wants to have Geordo as insurance in case things don’t work out with Jeffrey. Geordo wouldn’t let himself be manipulated, but people might think otherwise since Geordo feigns friendliness with them.

Alan arrives, but Geordo is not with him.
Geordo is not free to move around because Marquis Randall’s people are sticking to him like glue.
