I wish I had some kind of fun gif or picture or something I could post that would somehow represent how thankful and grateful and astounded and overwhelmed and touched and humbled I am by the outpouring of love and friendship you all sent my way, helping me celebrate my birthday yesterday. But alas, the ability to do so completely eludes me, so I will have to use my words, as inadequate as they will be.
I want to thank each one of you who took part in yesterday’s Project Sun Ray. I am still completely floored by everyone’s generosity of time and effort to prepare something for me. Whether it was a gifset or a story you wrote or a greeting or a photo of one of my favorite things or a list of all the number one songs on each birthday for the past 51 years (including the day I was born), please know that each one is treasured. As I mentioned to Frea yesterday, I really don’t know how I got to be so lucky as to have such wonderful, generous, creative and awesome friends.
There aren’t enough words to convey my thanks to two very special people: Frea and Karen (aka VictoriaNoir). You two are rockstars. I can’t even begin to… You have no idea how much joy you brought to me yesterday (and always, really). The effort you put into Project Sun Ray, to think of it in the first place and coordinate it and get everyone on board and to make all the fantastic gifs and pictures of my stories… I’m amazed and humbled… Thank you both for being my friends and sharing with us your incredible talents.
When I started watching a little show called “Chuck,” I had no idea it would have such a lasting effect on my life. Now I have friendships that transcend a TV show and for every one of those friendships, I am so very thankful.
And to think all of this began for me because one morning as I made the bed, I wondered how Sarah Walker got her new car after her Porsche blew up.
