⚠️LESS THAN 4 WEEKS OUT⚠️ My physique show is April 28th and it is coming quick! For those of you who don’t know how a physique show works let me help you understand. - Physique is similar to bodybuilding. It’s a stage performance. In physique you wear board shorts (not the man bikini like in bodybuilding😂). You are judged based on mostly your upper body. They are not looking for hugely muscled guys. They are looking for your textbook beach body I guess is the best way to describe it. They want to see your body is conditioned. They want a small waist and wider shoulders representing the “V” cut body. Each contestant is allowed 12-13 seconds on center stage. You don’t flex on stage though. You actually could get deducted if you flex. You have a forward facing pose then back pose and another forward pose again. There are transitions that you are allowed to show off muscles but they are continuous motions. This 12-13 second routine is designed by the contestant. - At the Fresno Classic there are divisions. There’s novice and open, which is everybody else not in novice. Then there’s an age separation as well, under 35 and over 35. Then they further separate contestants based on height. They have to separate so much because there are a lot of contenders at the Fresno Classic. - There are a panel of judges that determine the winner of each class it’s that simple. At the end they have each of the class winners go against each other and they will pronounce an overall winner. The overall winner is presented with a sword! That is the goal. That is what I am shooting for.
